Curtis Nowosad est un batteur, compositeur, directeur musical et enseignant basé à New York et nommé aux prix JUNO. Ce natif de Winnipeg est devenu une figure incontournable de la scène jazz new-yorkaise et internationale, tant à la tête de ses propres groupes que comme musicien accompagnateur. Il a joué dans les groupes de plusieurs générations d’artistes de jazz, dont Steve Nelson, Jazzmeia Horn et Braxton Cook. Il a également joué avec quatre NEA Jazz Masters : Candido Camero, Dave Liebman, Jimmy Owens et Ron Carter, en plus d’avoir enregistré avec un cinquième, Kenny Barron.

Curtis Nowosad is a JUNO-nominated, New York City -based drummer, composer, bandleader and educator. This Winnipeg native has become an integral part of the New York City and international jazz scene, both as a bandleader and a sideperson.  He has played in the bands of multiple generations of jazz artists including Steve Nelson, Jazzmeia Horn and Braxton Cook. He has also played with four NEA Jazz Masters: Candido Camero, Dave Liebman, Jimmy Owens and Ron Carter, and recorded with a fifth, Kenny Barron.
