Mat Vezio
Vingt mille pieds au-dessus de l’abysse, Mat Vezio’s fourth album, might never have seen the light of day—the singer-songwriter suffered a heart attack in May 2025. That unfortunate event ultimately shaped what came next, as evidenced by the album release concert that followed. Performing with a full band alongside Amylie, Stéphane Bergeron (Karkwa), and Charles St-Amour (Martin Léon), Mat Vezio showcases a vast sonic palette, through which the collective energy and dynamics carry the songs to soaring heights, all enhanced by visual projections—high above the abyss.
Catherine Alone
