Une création de l’imaginaire, une vision, un songe, une illusion. Fiction. Le projet porte bien nom. Ou serait-ce plutôt son nom qui le porte ? Suspendue et creuse, la rock-pop exploratoire luxuriante du quintette aux têtes connues (Malaimé Soleil, Velours Velours) s’érige en milieu humide, voilée d’une captivante brume, peuplée de cordes luisantes, de « choses qui dorment » et de « choses miniatures ». De nouveaux territoires dans lesquels on s’enfonce sans coup férir.
A creation of the imagination, a vision, a dream, an illusion. Fiction. The project bears its name well. Or is it rather the name that bears it? Suspended and hollow, the lush, exploratory rock-pop of the quintet with familiar faces (Malaimé Soleil, Velours Velours) rises in a humid landscape, veiled by a captivating mist, inhabited by glistening strings, by “things that sleep” and “miniature things.” New territories into which one sinks without resistance.
Couleur Dauphin
Les Couleur Dauphin cherchent la vérité dans les roches. Ils l’ont partiellement trouvée avec Cadeau Rochiste, un album thématique témoignant de grandes révélations holistiques centrées sur les pierres, les anges, les huiles essentielles et le tantrisme. Il combine harmonieusement un large éventail d’influences musicales et esthétiques et serait, semble-t-il, le plus abouti du nom vernaculaire ambigu. Un éveil spirituel… différent.
Les Couleur Dauphin are searching for truth in the rocks. They have partially found it with Cadeau Rochiste, a thematic album bearing witness to great holistic revelations centered on stones, angels, essential oils, and tantrism. It harmoniously combines a wide range of musical and aesthetic influences and is, it would seem, the most accomplished work yet from the ambiguously vernacular name. A spiritual awakening… of a different kind.
