SPECTACLE

SHOW
Pouet! is a high-energy performance for young audiences where music, live sound effects, mime, clowning, and object theatre come together in a playful, interactive experience. This 30-minute show features the duo ék – Tutti, a classically trained virtuoso and trumpet-playing mime, and Zoobap, a legendary jazz musician and trombone-playing mime – who communicate entirely through sounds and joyful gibberish. Pouet! follows their journey of cooperation, rivalry, and friendship through the sounds of everyday life.
Using a unique language of sound and movement, they explore the musical potential of ordinary moments, transforming everyday actions – waking up, brushing their teeth, exercising – into a magical and unpredictable sonic world.
Through unconventional instruments, live Foley effects, and improvisation, Pouet! becomes an innovative sensory adventure where music emerges from objects, the body, and the imagination, revealing the wonder hidden in the ordinary. A journey from sound to music!
FAMILY WORKSHOP
The mime-and-sound duo ék offers a fun and accessible workshop for the whole family, where improvisation becomes a shared playground for creativity. Led by trumpeter Émilie Fortin and trombonist Kalun Leung, ék aims to demystify free musical improvisation by inviting children to discover the rich soundscape hidden within their voices, their bodies, and everyday objects. Together, participants create a unique language in which every gesture is paired with a sound, like performing live sound effects.
Through creative games, guided and open-ended sound explorations, and the creation of simple musical objects using everyday materials such as balloons and PVC pipes, participants are guided toward a short collective performance celebrating listening, movement, and imagination.
No musical experience is required : every child is encouraged to explore, create, and express themselves in a welcoming, supportive environment
