Fière représentante de la nouvelle musique populaire brésilienne, Bianca Rocha vient de lancer Fim de Mundo, son tout premier album. Arrangées par Rodrigo Simões. Les pièces qui y figurent conjuguent des influences jazz, latines et afro-brésiliennes. Bianca Rocha aime mélanger les cultures, les accents et les rythmes. Essentiellement en portugais, l’album fait aussi un clin d’œil à l’espagnol, au français et à l’italien. « Ces chansons racontent un peu mon histoire, mais toujours en faisant des liens avec le collectif », raconte Bianca, qui cite Rosa Passos, Elza Soares, Esperanza Spalding, Hermeto Pascoal et Bobby McFerrin parmi ses influences.

Les chansons de Bianca Rocha abordent des thèmes tels que l’amour sans genre, les maladies mentales comme l’anxiété, le processus de gentrification qui se déroule partout dans le monde, mais aussi un message positif d’unité, de résignation et d’espoir. Sa musique musique latino-américaine porte toujours l’expression d’un peuple fort qui ne se laisse pas submerger par la souffrance, qui reconnaît ses problèmes, mais célèbre la vie et ses petits plaisirs.

Bianca Rocha, auteure-compositrice-interprète sud-brésilienne joue dans de nombreux styles musicaux, allant de la musique traditionnelle de sa région à la bossa nova et au jazz. Spécialisée en éducation musicale pour enfants, les chansons de l’artiste portent l’expression d’un peuple fort qui ne se laisse pas submerger par la souffrance mais célèbre la vie.

Proud representative of the new Brazilian popular music, Bianca Rocha has just launched Fim de Mundo, her very first album. Arranged by Rodrigo Simões. The pieces on it combine jazz, Latin and Afro-Brazilian influences. Bianca Rocha likes to mix cultures, accents and rhythms. Mostly in Portuguese, the album also includes a nod to Spanish, French and Italian. “These songs tell a bit of my story, but always with a link to the collective,” says Bianca, who cites Rosa Passos, Elza Soares, Esperanza Spalding, Hermeto Pascoal and Bobby McFerrin among her influences.

Bianca Rocha’s songs address themes such as genderless love, mental illnesses such as anxiety, the process of gentrification taking place around the world, but also a positive message of unity, resignation and hope. His Latin American music always carries the expression of a strong people who do not let themselves be overwhelmed by suffering, who recognize their problems, but celebrate life and its small pleasures.

Bianca Rocha, a South Brazilian singer-songwriter, performs in many musical styles, from traditional music of her region to bossa nova and jazz. Specializing in music education for children, her songs carry the expression of a strong people who do not let themselves be overwhelmed by suffering but celebrate life.
