Ábaco est un trio de musique instrumentale qui se consacre à la jazz-soul, avec des touches de rock alternatif et de musique latine. Le groupe a fait paraître un premier album, Iridiscencia, à l’été 2025. Bien que la formation soit encore récente, elle a su se distinguer en participant à différents événements prestigieux, dont l’après concert du légendaire guitariste de jazz Pat Metheny au Palais Montcalm. Le collectif réunit Julian Felipe Ramirez, à la composition et à la guitare, Antoine Gagné à la basse et Olivier Roberge à la batterie.
Ábaco is an instrumental music trio dedicated to jazz-soul, infused with elements of alternative rock and Latin music. The group released its debut album, Iridiscencia, in the summer of 2025. Although the ensemble is still relatively new, it has already made a strong impression by taking part in several prestigious events, including the post-concert performance for legendary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny at the Palais Montcalm. The collective brings together Julian Felipe Ramirez on composition and guitar, Antoine Gagné on bass, and Olivier Roberge on drums.
