Say Spirit est le trio coopératif pancanadien de Colin Fisher, James Annett et Josh Cole. Basé principalement à Toronto et à Montréal, chaque musicien apporte une contribution essentielle à la communauté de la musique improvisée et créative. Ils sont connus pour leur souplesse et leur éclectisme stylistique dans le monde de la musique en général. La musique qu’ils font ensemble est tantôt lyrique, tantôt ardente et passionnée. Elle est guidée par une ouverture d’esprit, une sensibilité à l’écoute en tant qu’unité et le désir d’aller au-delà des capacités individuelles.

Véro Marengère est une artiste audiovisuelle qui vit et travaille à Montréal, Tio’tia:ke/Mooniyang. Évoluant entre l’art vidéo 3D, la performance audiovisuelle et le design sonore, sa pratique s’intéresse aux formes hybrides d’Êtres et à la relation que nous entretenons avec l’aspect virtuel de la vie. Inspirée par l’animisme et la botanique, son esthétique colorée et sensible fait clin d’oeil à la contemplation, l’hybridité, la découture et la vitalité. Elle a présenté son travail notamment à Centre PHI, MUTEK, OFF Festival Jazz, AKOUSMA, MAPP Montreal, POP Montreal, Lumifest, La Cinémathèque Québécoise, Cafe OTO ainsi qu’à plusieurs autres événements d’envergure.

Say Spirit is the pan-Canadian co-operative trio of Colin Fisher, James Annett and Josh Cole. Now primarily based on Toronto and Montreal, each musician is vital contributor to the improvised and creative music community. They are individually known as flexible and
stylistically-eclectic collaborators in the music world at large. The music they make together is at times lyrical, at times fiery and passionate. It is is guided by an openness of spirit, a sensitivity to listen as one unit and the desire to move beyond individual capabilities.

Véro Marengère is an audiovisual artist that lives and works in Montreal, Tio’tia:ke/Mooniyang. Evolving between 3D video art, live audiovisual performances and sound design, her practice reflects on hybrid forms of life and the relation we have with the virtual aspect of life. Inspired by animism and botany, her colorful and sensitive style recalls contemplation, hybridity, fragmentation and vitality. She has presented her work notably at PHI Center, MUTEK, OFF Festival Jazz, AKOUSMA, MAPP Montréal, POP Montréal, Lumifest, La Cinémathèque Québécoise, Cafe OTO and many more. She’s a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CRIMMT). She has a graduate degree in digital arts – music from Université de Montréal.
