La dame Ovale marks the return to creation of singer-songwriter-bassist Claudia Gagné. Discovered in 2013 as the one-woman band L’Octopus, and later as the bassist of established acts such as Gab Paquet and Keith Kouna, Claudia decided in 2017 to leave it all behind and devote herself to the learning of music therapy. This long pause sharpened her will to write more existential and biting new songs. Willing to lighten her one-person band burden, she joined forces with Jasmin Cloutier (guitar – L’Orchestre d’hommes-orchestres) and Daniel Hains-Côté (drums – Mon amie Souffrance) in the summer of 2021.

Mid Divers

Mid Divers birthed out of loud noise sessions in the Cégep de Lévis. Inspired by the loudness and rawness of bands such as The Melvins, TAD and Nirvana, the band found pleasure in testing the school’s amps capacity. Unknowingly, their first original creations came from instictive, catchy melodies, stacked over fast, punk-inspired rhythms. Now located in Québec City, Mid Divers is building its reputation in the punk/grunge/underground scene, through its high-energy performances and raw creations.

Dogo Suicide

Dogo Suicide is an alternative (but quite punk) rock band based in Quebec City since 2020. Composed of drummer Richard-William Turcotte, bassist-vocalist Emmanuel Canadian and singer-guitarist Nicolas Côté, the young trio’s mission is to balance chaos and sensitivity on stage as well as on the road. Although the band’s main influences such as the punk-rock of Vulgaires Machins and the noise-rock of Sonic Youth are easily heard, the band never misses an opportunity to break the mold and present sections that are sometimes calm, sometimes completely overexcited.
