Pour souligner le 300e anniversaire du Premier Livre du Clavier bien tempéré de J. S. Bach, Geneviève Soly propose une conférence et deux concerts commentés qui permettront au public d’approfondir les 24 Préludes et fugues qui composent ce corpus unique dans l’histoire de la musique. Grâce à ses talents de pédagogue, elle amène l’auditrice et l’auditeur à capter l’essence du discours profondément spirituel de Bach. Deux instruments de la Salle Bourgie seront utilisés : le clavecin flamand de Keith Hill et l’orgue opus 2 de Hellmuth Wolff.
To mark the tricentenary of the First Book of J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Geneviève Soly will give a lecture to complement two concerts with commentary, leading audiences to deepen their appreciation of the 24 preludes and fugues that make up this corpus, so distinctive in the history of music. Drawing on her skills as an educator, she will direct listeners to grasping the essence of Bach’s profoundly spiritual discourse. Two Bourgie Hall instruments will be used: the Flemish harpsichord by Keith Hill and the Opus 2 organ by Hellmuth Wolff.
