Rock ’n’ roll lost a towering figure in 2015 with the passing of Lemmy Kilmister, and this posthumous package offers a touching twist on the final farewell. It’s a salute to Motörhead’s many friends and peers, much of it metallic (Priest, Ozzy, etc.) or punk (Sex Pistols, Ramones). Most of the tracks are plucked from previous records, the unreleased cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” being the finest surprise find here. The most remarkable track is a ferocious take on “Sympathy for the Devil” that absolutely destroys the original. Sympathy is warranted — one can imagine poor Lucifer losing his shirt to Lemmy at some infernal poker table right at this moment.
