A Winged Victory for the Sullen
A Winged Victory for the Sullen est un projet de musique ambient formé par les compositeurs de Redbird Music et collaborateurs de longue date Adam Wiltzie et Dustin O’Halloran. Le duo s’est rencontré en Italie il y a plusieurs années et ne prévoyait initialement sortir qu’un seul album sous le nom A Winged Victory for the Sullen, mais le projet a continué d’évoluer et les deux artistes ont depuis enregistré quatre albums complets, un EP et une bande sonore depuis leur formation en 2011.
A Winged Victory for the Sullen are an ambient music project by Redbird Music composers and frequent collaborators Adam Wiltzie and Dustin O’Halloran. The duo met in Italy many years ago and initially only intended to release a single record as A Winged Victory for the Sullen, but the project has continued to live on and the pair have recorded a total of four full length albums, an EP and a soundtrack since forming in 2011.
&Rubber
&Rubber est le duo montréalais de post-post-punk expérimental formé de Laura Jeffery et Jackson Darby. Laura Jeffery (anciennement de Fountain) et Jackson Darby (NPNP) trouvent un terrain d’entente entre l’esthétique no wave et la musique concrète. Une batterie envoûtante et anguleuse contraste avec des drones chaleureux au synthé modulaire et les grincements organiques d’un daxophone DIY. Imaginez Can qui croise Jon Hassell au lave-auto.
&Rubber is the Montréal-based experimental post-post-punk duo of Laura Jeffery and Jackson Darby. Laura Jeffery (perviously of Fountain) and Jackson Darby (NPNP) find common ground between no-wave aesthetics and musique concrète. Entrancing yet jagged live drums contrast with soulful modular synth-driven drones and organic DIY daxophone screeches. Think Can meets Jon Hassell in the car wash.
