Veils of Bollywood ft Veils of Punjab – 19H00

Bollywood Dance Workshop 6:15 PM
Before the show begins, the artists invite you to a joyful, liberating warm-up. No dance experience required. Professional instructors from Veils of Bollywood guide you through the fundamentals of Bollywood dance: mudras, cadenced steps, collective energy. All ages, all levels welcome. The audience becomes part of the show before the curtain even rises.
Veils of Bollywood ft Veils of Punjab 7:00 PM
Six dancers take over the stage in a show of color, rhythm, and story. Three artists from Veils of Bollywood, three members of the Kohinoor troupe: together, they travel through India region by region, style by style. Punjabi bhangra, Sufi fervor, the sensuality of Garba, the discipline of Kathak, the grace of Bharatanatyam, the sparkle of Bollywood. Each tableau brings its own costumes, its own music, its own energy. A vibrant celebration where tradition and modernity aren’t a choice; they dance together.
Qafila 7:45 PM
Four musicians, live music, and suddenly time shifts rhythm. Qafila, a Montreal quartet devoted to classical South Asian music, offers a different kind of intensity: more inward, more dense. Deep rhythms, suspended melodies, emotion resting just beneath the surface of every string. The necessary pause that gives the evening its depth.
DJ Deep Patel with live musician, mascots, and VOB dancers 8:30 PM
To close the night, DJ Deep Patel takes over the decks for a fusion of Bollywood, Desi, and electro. A live musician joins him, the Veils of Bollywood dancers set the stage ablaze, and two colorful mascots roam the crowd, pose for photos, and turn the evening into an all-out celebration. The music surges, the dance floor catches fire, and Orientalys closes out the night exactly the way it knows how: with joy, movement, and moments no one will forget.
