Le plus grand ensemble de musique cubaine au monde, THE BUENA VISTA ORCHESTRA, aussi connu sous le nom de The Buena Vista Social Orchestra et Orquesta Buena Vista, s’invite à Québec et à Gatineau cet automne. Composé de musiciens issus de The Buena Vista Social Club, AfroCuban All Stars, ainsi que des groupes de Celia Cruz, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés et Willie Colón, l’orchestre est dirigé par le violoniste virtuose Rolando Morejón Reyes. Il réunit également de nombreux talents internationaux, dont le trompettiste Antonio Perigo, le pianiste Helder Rojas, ainsi que le tromboniste Yosmel Garceran, nommé aux Latin Grammy Awards et reconnu mondialement. À ce jour, le Buena Vista Social Club, le Buena Vista Orchestra et les projets connexes ont fait le tour du monde et ont été acclamés dans le monde entier, vendant des millions de billets et d’albums et faisant l’objet de divers documentaires, productions théâtrales et autres, ce qui en fait le projet musical cubain le plus vendu et le plus connu de l’histoire. The world’s largest Cuban music ensemble, THE BUENA VISTA ORCHESTRA, also known as The Buena Vista Social Orchestra and Orquesta Buena Vista, is coming to Quebec City and Gatineau this fall. Composed of musicians from The Buena Vista Social Club, AfroCuban All Stars, and the bands of Celia Cruz, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, and Willie Colón, the orchestra is led by virtuoso violinist Rolando Morejón Reyes. It also brings together many international talents, including trumpeter Antonio Perigo, pianist Helder Rojas, and world-renowned Latin Grammy Award-nominated trombonist Yosmel Garceran.
