Since its creation by Daniel Seligman, Noelle Sorbara, and Peter Rowan in 2002, Pop Montréal has become a considerable reservoir of musical discoveries for Montreal fans and others who join in September. The fall festival has presented major concerts in all the variations closely or remotely associated with popular music forms: rock, indie rock, post rock, alternative rock, hip hop, soul, R&B, easy listening, electronica, noise, folk, avant-folk, avant-pop, vintage pop from all over the world. Originally from Toronto, Dan Seligman lives in Montreal, where he started his family. As Creative Director of Pop Montreal, Dan has introduced us to and rediscovered artists of the highest quality. Undoubtedly, he is one of the creative forces in the Montreal music ecosystem.
