Makenzie (17h)

Makenzie’s alternative folk is expressed through rich arrangements and lyrics that stray from the beaten path of pop and chanson. Whether through her sensitive, symbolic pen, or through her melodies imbued with 60s and 70s reminiscence, the artist skillfully invites us to join her characteristic universe: a skilful blend of folk, rock and baroque pop. Resolutely feminist in her aims, the singer-songwriter surrounds herself with a majority of daring women on stage. From this cohesive ensemble unfolds an embodied and touching show, where light and darkness rub shoulders without compromise.
