To mark the 40th anniversary of this iconic show, these two tribute bands will present the exact same concert, at the same time of year – early March 2026 – for an immersive and unforgettable night. On the program: the complete original setlist, period-correct instruments, and a meticulously recreated stage production, with authentic sets and atmosphere. Drew Henderson est un guitariste, arrangeur, producteur et pédagogue diplômé de l’Université de Toronto, formé aussi en Italie. Il se produit régulièrement au Canada, aux États-Unis et en Europe, notamment en soliste invité avec Lang Lang devant plus de 3 000 personnes. Très suivi sur YouTube avec plus de 60 000 abonnés, il y partage ses adaptations de grands compositeurs. Producteur reconnu, il collabore avec des artistes pour des labels prestigieux comme Decca ou Naxos. Cette activité l’a mené aux quatre coins du monde.

Drew Henderson is a guitarist, arranger, producer, and educator, a graduate of the University of Toronto who also trained in Italy. He performs regularly across Canada, the United States, and Europe, notably appearing as a guest soloist with Lang Lang in front of audiences of more than 3,000 people. With over 60,000 subscribers on YouTube, he is widely followed for his adaptations of works by great composers. A respected producer, he collaborates with artists for prestigious labels such as Decca and Naxos, work that has taken him around the world.

Rêves et récits tisse un fil entre imagination, mémoire et émotion. Des miniatures romantiques européennes aux mélodies du folklore coréen, en passant par les sonorités contemporaines et les néons de Broadway, chaque œuvre est un fragment d’histoire, un souvenir ou un songe partagé. Joanne Yesol Choi et Kevin Ahfat, fantastiques jeunes artistes torontois cités notamment au palmarès des « 30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30 » de CBC Music, se font narrateurs d’un voyage intérieur où la musique raconte les rêves et les récits qui nous relient. Joanne Yesol Choi est la récipiendaire 2025 du Prix Virginia Parker du Conseil des Arts du Canada.

Dreams and Stories weaves a thread between imagination, memory, and emotion. From European Romantic miniatures to melodies drawn from Korean folklore, through contemporary sounds and the neon glow of Broadway, each work is a fragment of history, a shared memory or a dream. Joanne Yesol Choi and Kevin Ahfat, outstanding young Toronto-based artists, named among CBC Music’s “30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30”, serve as narrators of an inner journey where music tells the dreams and stories that connect us. Joanne Yesol Choi is the 2025 recipient of the Virginia Parker Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts.

Donald Careau a pris sa retraite en 2023 après une carrière de 50 ans. À l’aube de ses 73 ans, il vous revient avec les plus grands succès de la chanson française. Le titre de son récital C’EST BEAU LA VIE s’en veut un de reconnaissance et de gratitude pour avoir chanté toutes ces années et pour le public qui l’a toujours soutenu. Ábaco Trio au Chez Madame Belley

Ábaco est un trio de musique instrumentale qui se consacre à la jazz-soul, avec des touches de rock alternatif et de musique latine. Le groupe a fait paraître un premier album, Iridiscencia, à l’été 2025. Bien que la formation soit encore récente, elle a su se distinguer en participant à différents événements prestigieux, dont l’après concert du légendaire guitariste de jazz Pat Metheny au Palais Montcalm. Le collectif réunit Julian Felipe Ramirez, à la composition et à la guitare, Antoine Gagné à la basse et Olivier Roberge à la batterie.

Ábaco is an instrumental music trio dedicated to jazz-soul, infused with elements of alternative rock and Latin music. The group released its debut album, Iridiscencia, in the summer of 2025. Although the ensemble is still relatively new, it has already made a strong impression by taking part in several prestigious events, including the post-concert performance for legendary jazz guitarist Pat Metheny at the Palais Montcalm. The collective brings together Julian Felipe Ramirez on composition and guitar, Antoine Gagné on bass, and Olivier Roberge on drums.

Les Flower Kings s’arrêtent pour la toute première fois au Palais Montcalm, le temps d’un programme double exclusif en compagnie de Neal Morse. Formé en 1994, le groupe de rock progressif suédois, dirigé par le guitariste et chanteur Roine Stolt, s’est taillé une place enviable dans le milieu grâce à sa façon de marier sensibilité pop, mélodies accrocheuses et envolées instrumentales carburant aux sonorités rétro. Membre fondateur des formations Spock’s Beard et Transatlantic, le chanteur et claviériste Neal Morse viendra pour sa part défendre son riche répertoire en formule solo pour ouvrir la soirée. Les fans peuvent bien sûr s’attendre à ce que Morse rejoigne les Flower Kings pour quelques interprétations qui en mettront plein les oreilles! « Nous tournons de nouveau – et c’est un immense plaisir! Cette fois encore avec mon ami de longue date Neal Mose. Ce sera une grande fête du rock progressif à ne pas manquer! » s’enthousiasme le leader des Flower Kings, Roine Stolt.

The Flower Kings will stop at the Palais Montcalm for the very first time, presenting an exclusive double bill alongside Neal Morse. Formed in 1994, the Swedish progressive rock band, led by guitarist and vocalist Roine Stolt, has carved out an enviable place in the scene thanks to its unique blend of pop sensibility, catchy melodies, and soaring instrumental passages driven by retro-inspired sounds. A founding member of Spock’s Beard and Transatlantic, singer and keyboardist Neal Morse will open the evening with a solo performance showcasing his rich repertoire. Fans can, of course, expect Morse to join The Flower Kings on stage for a few performances guaranteed to deliver an unforgettable experience. “We’re touring again – and it’s an immense pleasure! Once again with my longtime friend Neal Morse. It will be a great progressive rock celebration not to be missed!” enthuses Flower Kings leader Roine Stolt.

Requiem de Brahms – Ensemble Polyphonia de Québec à la salle Raoul-Jobin

To mark its 25th anniversary, Ensemble Polyphonia de Québec will perform the monumental work A German Requiem by Johannes Brahms in its version for two pianos, choir, and soloists, under the direction of Louise Marie Pelletier. This unique concert will also give audiences the opportunity to enjoy several essential works from the great choral repertoire.

Il y a 30 ans, le poète Gaston Miron disparaissait, laissant derrière lui une œuvre immortelle dont la richesse continue de se révéler encore aujourd’hui. Le spectacle Des hommes rapaillés est l’occasion de redécouvrir cette poésie, mise en musique de façon magnifique par Gilles Bélanger et portée par Michel Faubert, Pierre Flynn, Yann Perreau, Martin Léon, Luc De Larochellière ainsi que Bélanger lui-même, sous la direction musicale des Mountain Daisies. Lancées sur album en 2008 et en 2010, les adaptations de Gilles Bélanger ont permis à des poèmes comme Je marche à toi, Poème Dans Le Goût Ancien (La vie s’en va) ou Parle-moi de devenir des chansons mémorables, livrées avec des interprètes et des musiciens de premier ordre. Un spectacle à ne pas manquer!

Thirty years ago, the poet Gaston Miron passed away, leaving behind an immortal body of work whose richness continues to unfold today. The show Des hommes rapaillés offers an opportunity to rediscover this poetry, beautifully set to music by Gilles Bélanger and brought to life by Michel Faubert, Pierre Flynn, Yann Perreau, Martin Léon, Luc De Larochellière, and Bélanger himself, under the musical direction of Mountain Daisies. Released as albums in 2008 and 2010, Gilles Bélanger’s adaptations transformed poems such as Je marche à toi, Poème dans le goût ancien (La vie s’en va), and Parle-moi into unforgettable songs, delivered by outstanding performers and musicians. Renowned for the pyrotechnic brilliance of his vocal art, Philippe Jaroussky has also recently embraced the role of orchestral conductor. With his own ensemble, founded in 2002, he takes on this dual role as soloist and conductor, offering a bouquet of 18th-century Italian cantatas centered on the passionate theme of jealousy.

Rayonnante Huitième symphonie de Dvořák : Orchestre symphonique de Québec à la salle Raoul-Jobin

L’évocation musicale de la lumière est au cœur de ce programme imaginé par le chef hongrois Gergely Madaras, qui s’ouvre par les incandescentes Symphonic Minutes de son compatriote Ernst von Dohnányi. Trésor d’inventivité, ces miniatures orchestrales subtilement contrastées offrent une introduction captivante au Premier concerto pour piano de Mendelssohn. Sous les doigts de la pianiste Élisabeth Pion, jeune étoile montante québécoise récompensée par de nombreux prix internationaux, cette partition solaire est une déclaration d’amour à une jeune pianiste qui avait subjugué le compositeur. Son emportement communicatif précède la rayonnante Huitième symphonie de Dvořák, qui puise son inspiration dans les danses et les chants bohémiens. À l’époque de sa composition, le musicien vivait une existence paisible dans un village tchèque. Ce dernier lui inspira une partition pleine de joie et de poésie, que parachève une vertigineuse bacchanale qui ne laissera personne insensible!

The musical evocation of light lies at the heart of this program conceived by Hungarian conductor Gergely Madaras, which opens with the incandescent Symphonic Minutes by his compatriot Ernst von Dohnányi. A treasure of inventiveness, these subtly contrasted orchestral miniatures provide a captivating introduction to Mendelssohn’s First Piano Concerto. Under the fingers of pianist Élisabeth Pion, a rising young Quebec star and recipient of numerous international awards, this radiant score becomes a declaration of love to a young pianist who had utterly captivated the composer. Its infectious exuberance paves the way for Dvořák’s luminous Eighth Symphony, inspired by Bohemian dances and folk songs. At the time of its composition, Dvořák was living a peaceful life in a Czech village, which inspired a work filled with joy and poetry, culminating in a dizzying bacchanale that will leave no one unmoved!

Thélonius Garcia est un pianiste et compositeur qui a toujours baigné dans la création artistique sous toutes ses formes. Installé à Montréal, il est ancré dans l’univers musical du piano solo instrumental et des compositeurs contemporains tels que Nils Frahm, Hania Rani, Ryūichi Sakamoto et Max Richter. Cet amour pour ces pianistes colore son approche, qui est enracinée dans sa formation et ses origines jazz. Il vient présenter son univers sensible, dont l’album Marche Nocturne, paru en 2024, nous a donné un heureux avant-goût avec ses 16 pièces originales, courtes et évocatrices, pour piano solo.

Thélonius Garcia is a pianist and composer who has always been immersed in artistic creation in all its forms. Based in Montreal, he is rooted in the musical world of instrumental solo piano and contemporary composers such as Nils Frahm, Hania Rani, Ryūichi Sakamoto, and Max Richter. His admiration for these pianists shapes his approach, which is grounded in his training and jazz origins. He comes to present his sensitive musical world, glimpses of which were beautifully revealed in his 2024 album Marche Nocturne, featuring 16 original, short, and evocative pieces for solo piano.
