Story of the Year at Club Soda

Story of the Year is an alternative rock, post-hardcore and sometimes post-grunge band formed in 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. The band’s original name was Big Blue Monkey. It changed its name to Story of the Year in 2002 after releasing their EP Story of the Year on independent label Criterion Records, and realizing that a blues band was already using the Big Blue Monkey name. On March 8, 2013, the band officially reformed.

Story of the Year est un groupe de rock alternatif, post-hardcore et parfois de post-grunge, formé en 1995 à St. Louis dans le Missouri. Le groupe s’appelait originellement Big Blue Monkey. Il change de nom en Story of the Year en 2002 après avoir commercialisé leur EP intitulé Story of the Year sur le label indépendant Criterion Records, et après avoir réalisé qu’un groupe de blues utilisait déjà le nom de Big Blue Monkey. Le 8 mars 2013, le groupe se reforme officiellement.

Igorrr au Club Soda

Initialement influencé par Meshuggah, Chopin, Cannibal Corpse, Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Taraf de Haidouks et Aphex Twin, des traces de ces artistes peuvent être trouvées dans la discographie d’Igorrr, mais Serre n’a jamais été intéressé par le fait de rester statique ou de simplement recycler des idées, et son travail a évolué de façon spectaculaire en conséquence. C’est ce qui explique que la musique d’Igorrr soit une telle explosion de créativité tout en conservant un univers cohérent, disque après disque.
Ces dernières années, Igorrr est également devenu un collectif, plutôt que le travail d’un seul homme, ce qui a apporté un nouveau niveau d’intensité dans les représentations live du groupe.

Initially influenced by the likes of Meshuggah, Chopin, Cannibal Corpse, Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Taraf de Haidouks and Aphex Twin, traces of these artists can be found littered across Igorrr’s discography, but Serre has never been interested in remaining static or merely recycling ideas, and his work has dramatically evolved accordingly. It deeply explains how Igorrr’s music is such an explosion of creativity while keeping a cohesive universe records after records.
In recent years, Igorrr has also become a collective, rather than the work of one man alone, which has brought a new level of intensity into the group live representations.

Lil Tracy au Club Soda

Chantant avec une cadence spatiale sur des productions généralement atmosphériques, Lil Tracy – connu auparavant sous le nom de Yung Bruh – a été séparément et simultanément classé comme un cloud rapper et un emo rapper. Actif avec une série de sorties underground depuis le début des années 2010, il a élargi son public de manière significative avec des collaborations avec Lil Peep telles que “White Wine” (2016) et le single Hot 100 crossover “Awful Things” (2017). Depuis la mort de son associé Peep, Tracy a continué à construire sa grande discographie solo avec des sorties courtes comme Sinner (2018) et Anarchy (2019).

Sing-rapping with a spaced-out cadence over generally atmospheric productions, Lil Tracy — known previously as Yung Bruh — has been separately and simultaneously classified as a cloud rapper and an emo rapper. Hommage à Metallica par AlcoholicA au Club Soda

En 2004, les membres d’Alcoholica ont eu la chance de rencontrer le célèbre groupe Metallica lors de leur dernier passage à Montréal où James Hetfield a déclaré: “Merci de poursuivre la tradition”. À la suite de cette rencontre, on a pu voir sur le site de Metallica, photos et vidéo de cette rencontre mémorable intitulée: Metallica rencontre AlcoholicA.Deux jours plus tard, les membres du groupe Godsmack, lequel a vendu plusieurs millions d’albums, ont participé à l’improviste à un spectacle d’AlcoholicA qui avait lieu à Québec. Ils ont tout simplement été étonnés de la profondeur, de la passion et de la précision du répertoire du band. Le même soir, certains membres de l’équipe de tournée du groupe Metallica, et en particulier Flemming Rasmussen (reconnu comme étant l’ingénieur et le co-réalisateur des albums Ride The Lightning (1984) et Master of Puppets (1986) ont terminé leur soirée en assistant à la prestation d’AlcoholicA et ont été impressionnés par la qualité du spectacle.

In 2004, the members of AlcoholicA met with the world renowned Metallica in Montreal where James Hetfield gladly said: “Thanks for keeping the spirit alive“. The following day on Metallica’s website, pictures and a video of the event were posted and entitled “Metallica Meets Alcoholica“. Two days later, members of the worldwide selling artist Godsmack showed up unexpected at an AlcoholicA show in Quebec City and they were simply astonished to witness the depth, passion and precision of the band’s repertoire. That same night, members of the Metallica Road crew including Flemming Rasmussen (who has an evident reputation as engineer and co-producer of Metallica’s albums Ride the Lightning (1984) and Master of Puppets (1986)) came to AlcoholicA’s show to finish their night off and were all impressively amazed by the show.

French 79 au Club Soda

En 2014, French 79 a fait une percée sur la scène musicale, d’abord perçue comme française, mais rapidement devenue internationale. Son single “Between the Buttons,” extrait de l’EP “Angel,” a propulsé le musicien parmi les producteurs renommés. Le succès initial a enrichi la tracklist de l’album “Olympic,” qui a également inclus le bijou pop “Diamond Veins,” en collaboration avec Sarah Rebecca. Cette sortie a rencontré un large public à l’échelle mondiale, ouvrant la voie à plus de 150 concerts pour Simon Henner. Il a ainsi renforcé sa position en tant que parrain de la scène électronique marseillaise, déjà marquée par des collaborations avec Husbands, Nasser et Kid Francescoli.

Par la suite, “Joshua” a suivi “Olympic,” présentant un hommage nostalgique aux années 80 et 90. Simon Henner a puisé dans ses souvenirs d’enfance, capturant des VHS de films et des cassettes audio pour créer un album immersif évoquant un univers différent de la réalité. Le son évoque des pionniers intemporels comme Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk et Soft Machine, tout en incorporant les ambiances distinctives de la “French Touch” cinématographique.

Hyoyeon (효연) alias HYO est l’une des plus grandes stars de Corée du Sud. Elle est auteur-compositeur-interprète, rappeuse et DJ chez SM Entertainment. Hyo a fait ses débuts en tant que membre du groupe Girls’ Generation en août 2007, qui est devenu l’un des artistes les plus vendus en Corée du Sud et l’un des groupes de K-pop les plus populaires au monde. Elle a depuis participé à d’autres super groupes de SM Entertainment, notamment Girls’ Generation-Oh!GG et Got the Beat. Depuis 2016, elle a également sorti des singles en tant qu’artiste solo et DJ et a collaboré avec de nombreux artistes de danse de premier plan dans le monde, tels que 3Lau, Ummet Ozcan, Slushii et bien d’autres à venir.
