The acid-tongued Bristol duo returns in force with this third album. Slow Focus turns out to be a solid crop, developing admirably in complexity to flood the listener with ruthless sound layers. Each track has its focus, most often in an apex of bold textures and rhythms, while retaining a commanding hypermelodicism. The result is airy yet eminently dense, its euphoria gripped by an addictive, overpowering delirium.
