One of the most fascinating demonstrations of hip hop music’s endurance and dynamism this decade manifested itself with this odd-couple pairing of NYC indie rap icon El-P (once better known as the mind behind Def Jux) and OutKast affiliate, battle rapper and proud Atlantan Killer Mike. The pair found brand name success, embraced both by rap purists and college dorm kids hungry for festival-ready entertainment. Their second offering of the decade put them on the musical map for keeps.
