Sa musique est parfois qualifiée de art-rock expérimental ou de post-chillwave. Tumor s’associe fréquemment à des artistes comme Mykki Blanco, Kelsey Lu, Devonté Hynes (Blood Orange) ou encore James Ferraro, toustes dans la mouvance alternative des genres qu’iels explorent.
