Fils de Ronnie D’Addario, auteur-compositeur de power pop et multi-instrumentiste, les Lemon Twigs ont été formés par les frères Brian et Michael D’Addario. Canalisant l’énergie des auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes des années 70 de l’époque de leur père, avec un amour prononcé pour le théâtre musical et un sens aigu de la performance, les frères ont commencé à écrire des chansons dès leur plus jeune âge et ont sorti leur premier album en 2016, Do Hollywood, sur 4AD, à la fin de leur adolescence. Le succès est venu rapidement pour le groupe, avec une acclamation critique et une série d’apparitions télévisées ainsi que des tournées étendues. Ils sont passés de l’excentricité conceptuelle de leur deuxième album de 2018, Go to School, à un ensemble de chansons plus variées mais non moins grandiloquentes sur leur album de 2020, Songs for the General Public. Leur quatrième cycle d’albums a été lancé avec “Corner of My Eye” en 2023.
Sons of power pop songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Ronnie D’Addario, the Lemon Twigs were formed by brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario. Channeling some of the ’70s singer/songwriter energy of their father’s era with a healthy love of musical theater and an over-the-top performance display, the brothers began writing songs at young ages and delivered their 2016 debut album, Do Hollywood, on 4AD at the tail end of their teenage years. Success came quickly for the band, with critical acclaim and a string of TV appearances as well as extensive touring. They went from the conceptual eccentricity of their 2018 sophomore album, Go to School, to a more varied but no less bombastic set of songs on their 2020 album Songs for the General Public. Their fourth album cycle was launched with “Corner of My Eye” in 2023.
