Le festival Suoni Per Il Popolo est présenté par la Société des Arts Libres et Actuels (SALA), une organisation à but non-lucratif enregistrée en 2002. De ses racines ancrées dans diverses formes musicales exploratoires, la SALA s’engage à mettre de l’avant la musique d’avant-garde expérimentale dans un contexte communautaire!

Sheenah Ko est une artiste solo de Montréal et une claviériste énergique, souvent vue sur scène avec de nombreux groupes différents, dont The Besnard Lakes, Le Couleur et Antoine Corriveau. En tant qu’artiste solo, son électro-pop expérimentale vise à entraîner le public dans un voyage envoûtant où l’on peut oublier le temps et l’espace. Un son profond et atmosphérique, elle amène les auditeurs dans un état onirique trippant mais énergique de synthés analogiques “respirants”, de voix douces et brutes et de rythmes entraînants. Bien qu’il soit sorti au bord de la pandémie, le premier album de Sheenah, Nowhere In Time, a atteint le top 10 des charts électroniques nationaux, et son clip, Wrap Me Up, a remporté un UK Music Video Award et une nomination aux Juno. Sheenah sort actuellement son deuxième album, FUTURE IS NOW, créé avec les coproducteurs Jace Lasek, Ryan Battistuzzi et Steeven Chouinard.

The Suoni Per Il Popolo is presented by the Société des Arts Libres et Actuels (SALA), a Montreal based non-profit organization which was incorporated in 2002. Rooted in exploratory musical forms, the SALA is committed to presenting avant garde and experimental music and sound within a community context. 

Sheenah Ko is a solo artist from Montreal and an energetic keyboardist, often seen on stages with many different bands, including The Besnard Lakes, Le Couleur, and Antoine Corriveau. As a solo artist, her experimental electro-pop is intended to swallow audiences into an entrancing journey where one can forget time and space. A deep and atmospheric sound, she brings listeners into a trippy yet energetic dreamlike state of “breathing” analog synths, soft and raw vocals and driving beats.

Despite being released at the brink of the pandemic, Sheenah’s debut album Nowhere In Time reached top ten in the national electronic charts, and her music video, Wrap Me Up, won a UK Music Video Award and a Juno nomination. Sheenah is currently releasing her sophomore album, FUTURE IS NOW, created with co-producers Jace Lasek, Ryan Battistuzzi, and Steeven Chouinard.
