Suoni per il Popolo : Bobby Sanchez + BiG SiSSY + 15 Months and Countless by Rickie Leac à la Sotterenea

Tue 24 Jun 2025 • 08:30 pm cinéma / Poetry / Pop-Rock
La Sotterenea - Montréal 20$
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Get ready for a night of powerful performances and captivating storytelling!
New York’s own Bobby Sanchez (she/they), a musician and poet with eight years of performance experience, will share their poignant work covering LGBTQ+ identity, Indigenous heritage, environmental justice, and universal liberation. Their raw honesty and passion are truly inspiring.
Joining them is the sensational BiG SiSSY, a singer-songwriter, producer, and drag act known for tackling social issues through a unique camp musical lens. This “green-haired witch from Black Starr Planet” fuses pop-rock, 80s synths, and 90s grunge in pro-Black, pro-queer, and pro-sex anthems. Voted Montreal’s Top 5 Freakiest Musical Acts for five consecutive years, BiG SiSSY promises an electrifying, unforgettable show!
The night will begin with a screening of 15 Months and Countless. Film photos taken from protests on 8th October 2023 to 16th January 2025 in Montreal and London by Rickie Leach. Music by Anarchist Mountains, featuring a drone sample of an organ played by Stefan Christoff with sound processing by Jordan Christoff. The photos mark events from Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to the very broken ceasefire declaration 15 months and countless lives, and demonstrations of support and direct actions later.
