Lancement d’album: Sauf les drones à la Sala Rossa

Sauf les drones est un groupe post-rock instrumental montréalais composé de six musiciens (trombone, violon, basse, batterie, piano et harpe) qui explore la douceur et l’intensité. Leur musique est expérimentale, dronistique et cinématique, tout en restant exaltante, fragile et forte.

Le groupe formé en 2017 puise ses influences dans Do Make Say Think, Bell Orchestre, Godspeed You ! Black Emperor, et Sigur Rós.

Sauf les drones is a Montreal-based instrumental post-rock band consisting of six parts (trombone, violin, bass, drums, piano and harp) exploring softness and intensity. Their music is experimental, dronistic and cinematic, while remaining uplifting, fragile and strong.

The band formed in 2017 draws influences from Do Make Say Think, Bell Orchestre, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Sigur Rós.

Dean Lewis Grant Loaney est un auteur-compositeur-interprète pop australien. Il est surtout connu pour son single de 2016 ” Waves “, qui a été certifié 7× platine en Australie en 2019, et son single de 2018 ” Be Alright “, qui a atteint la première place en Australie et a été certifié platine dans les quatre semaines suivant sa sortie, atteignant finalement 11× platine en Australie et multiplatine dans le monde entier, y compris double platine aux États-Unis. Lewis a sorti son premier album studio, A Place We Knew, en 2019 et son deuxième, The Hardest Love, en 2022.

Dean Lewis Grant Loaney is an Australian pop singer-songwriter. He is best known for his 2016 single “Waves”, which was certified 7× platinum in Australia in 2019, and his 2018 single “Be Alright”, which reached number one in Australia and was certified platinum within four weeks of release, eventually reaching 11× platinum in Australia and multi-platinum worldwide, including double platinum in the United States. Lewis released his debut studio album, A Place We Knew, in 2019 and his second, The Hardest Love, in 2022.

Un spectacle multi-sensoriel “En partie Dan Deacon influencé par Daft Punk, en partie les Flaming Lips DIY filtrés par Girl Talk” (Austin Chronicle). Un groupe de claviers/synthés/guitare/basse/batterie/cornes jouant en synchronisation avec tout, des vieux films aux vidéos Youtube. Un spectacle interactif qui peut être vu comme du théâtre ou immersif ; sous un grand parachute de jardin d’enfants et une mer de confettis.

Selon CBC Radio3, Aucoin s’est forgé la réputation d’être l’un des meilleurs artistes de scène au Canada. Ses albums font la synthèse de vieux films tels que Dark Side of The Moon de Pink Floyd et Le Magicien d’Oz. Il s’est produit dans des dizaines de festivals, dont Osheaga, Great Escape, Les Eurockéennes, Berlin Music Fest, Art Basel Miami, Luminato Art Fest, Iceland Airwaves, SXSW et Pop Montréal.

A multi-sensory spectacle of a show “Part Daft Punk-inflected Dan Deacon, part DIY-driven Flaming Lips as filtered through Girl Talk” (Austin Chronicle). A band of keyboards/synths/guitar/bass/drums/horns playing in sync to everything from old films to Youtube videos. An interactive show which can be viewed like theatre or immersive; underneath a large parachute from kindergarten and a sea of confetti.

Aucoin has been long-listed for the Polaris Music Prize twice. His music video for “Brian Wilson is A.L.I.V.E.” won the Prism Prize. Aucoin has built a reputation as one of the best live shows in Canada according to CBC Radio3. His albums sync to old movies like Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon with The Wizard of Oz. He has performed at dozens of festivals including Osheaga, Great Escape, Les Eurockéennes, Berlin Music Fest, Art Basel Miami, Luminato Art Fest, Iceland Airwaves, SXSW, and Pop Montreal.

OSM: le Concerto pour deux pianos et percussions de Bartók

L’OSM a l’honneur d’accueillir les pianistes de renommée internationale Daniil Trifonov et Sergei Babayan dans le Concerto pour deux pianos et percussions de Bartók, qui mettra également en valeur les percussionnistes de l’OSM Serge Desgagnés et Andrei Malashenko. Le chef finlandais Hannu Lintu présentera également la célèbre Suite Roméo et Juliette de Prokofiev ainsi que la Symphonies d’instruments à vent de Stravinsky, écrite en hommage à Claude Debussy.

The OSM is thrilled to welcome internationally renowned pianists Daniil Trifonov and Sergei Babayan in Bartók’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Percussion, whose performance showcases OSM percussionists Serge Desgagnés and Andrei Malashenko. Finnish conductor Hannu Lintu also presents Prokofiev’s celebrated suite from Romeo and Juliet, as well as Stravinsky’s Symphonies of Wind Instruments, written in homage to Claude Debussy.

Elle sera accompagnée de musiciens chevronnés sous la direction de Pascal Mailloux (Marjo). Elle présente un spectacle teinté d’humour. Ses textes sont sincères et touchants.

DoMarier presents her first album. She is a singer-songwriter and actress who graduated from the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec. She will be accompanied by experienced musicians under the direction of Pascal Mailloux (Marjo). She presents a show tinged with humor. Her texts are sincere and touching.

John Butler au Théâtre Corona

Un exemple d’indépendance, fondateur du label australien Jarrah Records, père de famille et fier amateur de skateboard, John Butler, en dépit de son personnage public sympathique, reste une énigme. Il vient de partout et de nulle part, c’est un Australien/Américain, un Everyman/Nowhere Man, et sa musique mêle enracinement et déracinement, douleur et célébration d’une manière tout à fait séduisante. Il est le rebelle-réfugié par excellence, dont les chansons témoignent d’un désenchantement à l’égard du monde de l’entreprise, d’une aspiration à la vérité et d’une lutte permanente pour trouver un point d’ancrage. Les grooves décentrés des chansons ont toujours fait leur charme, et pourtant, dans le nouvel album au moins, il y a un sentiment de résolution et de paix après des années de lutte contre le monde et ce qu’il offrait.

An independent role model, founder of Australia’s Jarrah Records, family man and proud skateboard aficionado, John Butler, in spite of his matey public persona, remains an enigma. He is from everywhere and nowhere, an Australian/American, Everyman/Nowhere Man, and his music mixes rootedness and rootlessness, pain and celebration in a way that is utterly beguiling. He is the consummate rebel-refugee whose songs chart disenchantment with the corporate world and show a yearning for truth along with an ongoing struggle for a sense of locus. The songs’ off-centre grooves have always been their charm, and yet now there is a sense, in the new album at least, of resolution and peace after years of being against the world and what it offered.

Créé et produit par Overlook Events, le concert Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure est une expérience unique en son genre qui combine la projection sur un écran en haute définition de scènes des émissions de télévision originales Dragon Ball et Dragon Ball Z, l’interprétation en direct de la musique du légendaire compositeur japonais Shunsuke Kikuchi, par un orchestre de 60 musiciens accompagné du chanteur original de Dragon Ball, Hiroki Takahashi.

Le tout a été créer pour offrir aux fans d’animation un événement multimédia immersif!

The time has finally come, Z-Fighters! Kashamara Productions presents the official Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure concert.

Created and produced by Overlook Events, the Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure concert is a one-of-a-kind concert experience that combines scenes and sounds of “Dragon Ball” together with live vocals, a 60-piece orchestra and the music of legendary Japanese composer Shunsuke Kikuchi to create a truly immersive multimedia event for anime fans.

You will experience the music of both the original “Dragon Ball” and “Dragon Ball Z” shows, powered by a full orchestra, while watching the storylines of both shows unfold on screen in high-definition with fellow fans.

Performing at all the Canadian concerts will be the original singer of the “Dragon Ball” series himself, Hiroki Takahashi, who will be singing many of the classic songs from the series.

Altsys Jazz Orchestra au Dièse Onze

Le Altsys Jazz Orchestra, fondé par la cheffe d’orchestre et saxophoniste Jennifer Bell et le trompettiste compositeur Bill Mahar, se spécialise dans les œuvres canadiennes originales et les œuvres moins connues de la tradition des orchestres de jazz. L’orchestre compte dans ses rangs des musiciens de jazz indépendants parmis les plus sollicités de Montréal, dont plusieurs sont eux-mêmes chefs d’orchestre, éducateurs et compositeurs à part entière. Ces musiciens sont réunis par un désir mutuel de perpétuer et de nourrir la tradition de l’orchestre de jazz.

Altsys Jazz Orchestra, founded by conductor/saxophonist Jennifer Bell and trumpeter/composer Bill Mahar, specializes in original Canadian works and lesser performed works from the jazz orchestra tradition. Altsys serves as a vehicle for Bill Mahar who has premiered more than a dozen compositions with the orchestra. The orchestra counts among its ranks some of Montreal’s busiest freelance jazz musicians, many of whom are bandleaders, educators and composers in their own right. These musicians are brought together by a mutual desire to perpetuate and nurture the jazz orchestra tradition.
