Formé en 1982, Live Skull est considéré par de nombreux aficionados comme le groupe de noise new-yorkais par excellence. Avec Sonic Youth et Swans, Live Skull a défini le terme “noise rock” dans les années 1980, en étant le fer de lance de la scène musicale underground post-No Wave à New York, avec une série de concerts légendaires et huit albums révolutionnaires sortis au cours de cette décennie.

Formed in 1982, Live Skull is considered by many aficionados to be the quintessential New York noise band. Together with Sonic Youth and Swans, Live Skull defined the term “noise rock” in the 1980s, spearheading the post-No Wave underground music scene in NYC with a series of legendary live performances and eight groundbreaking records released over the course of that decade.
