Nuits d’Afrique presents Nino & Electric Soul

Wed 20 Jul 2022 • 03:30 pm Funk / Soul/R&B
Scène Loto-Québec de l'Esplanade - Montreal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Listening to Nino & Electric Soul, you can feel the presence of Al Green, Kool & the Gang, Marvin Gaye. After experimenting with death metal and Latin American rhythms, Nino, who happens to be the son of Sylvie Desgroseillers, has found his own style, a delightfully vintage sound that takes us to the fabulous era of soul, funk and R&B. In a groovy 70’s style, with its strong accent on instrumentation, the band recalls the history of Black American music, reminding us that, even today, cool dance moves, broad smiles and apparent carefreeness do not preclude ideals of freedom and protest.
