Le Festival international de jazz présente Marc Copland Trio au Dièse Onze

Sat 02 Jul 2022 • 07:00 pm / Sun 03 Jul 2022 • 07:00 pm Jazz

Marc Copland is a recognized musical treasure. In the last decade he was a mainstay in the bands of the late guitarist John Abercrombie, and legendary bassist Gary Peacock. His career has included stints with James Moody and Herbie Mann, as well as his own bands—bands including musicians like Abercrombie, Peacock, Ralph Alessi, Joey Baron, Randy Brecker, Bob Berg, Dennis Chambers, Drew Gress, Billy Hart, and Bill Stewart. Marc first came to Montreal in 2006, where he met local bass player Adrian Vedady. From this meeting a musical and personal friendship grew, and more gigs in Canada ensued over the years.

The happy result for Montreal audiences this July 2nd and 3rd at Dièse Onze is that they won’t just be hearing an extraordinary pianist; they will hear a real ensemble that knows how to make music together.
