Christopher Tignor est compositeur, violoniste, conférencier et ingénieur logiciel. Ses partitions chargées d’émotion et son approche unique de la pratique électroacoustique en direct, basée sur la performance, ont été acclamées par les communautés classique et expérimentale à travers 10 albums sur les labels Western Vinyl et New Albion. Il crée le logiciel de performance en direct qu’il utilise et qu’il partage librement. En tant que compositeur, il a écrit et enregistré des œuvres pour des ensembles tels que The Knights, l’orchestre à cordes A Far Cry et le quatuor à cordes Brooklyn Rider, et s’est produit à leurs côtés dans des salles de concert de premier plan, dont le Zankel Hall de Carnegie. En tant qu’arrangeur pour cordes, il a travaillé avec Helios, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, John Congleton, This Will Destroy You, Meshell Ndegeocello et plusieurs autres artistes aux frontières de la musique populaire.

Christopher Tignor is a composer, violinist, lecturer, and software engineer. His emotionally charged scores and unique focus on live, performance-based electroacoustic practice has won acclaim within both the classical and experimental communities across 10 LPs on the Western Vinyl and New Albion record labels. He creates the live performance software he uses, shared freely. As a composer he has written and recorded work for ensembles including The Knights, A Far Cry string orchestra, and Brooklyn Rider string quartet, performing alongside them at premiere venues including Carnegie’s Zankel Hall. As a string arranger he has worked with Helios, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, John Congleton, This Will Destroy You, Meshell Ndegeocello, and several other artists at the boundaries of popular music.
