The Jazz@Vue series is presented by Théâtre Outremont in collaboration with Effendi, one of the most important jazz labels in Canada, Productions Yves Léveillé and Productions Félix Stüssi, organizations dedicated to the production and presentation of contemporary jazz concerts. From 29 October to 1 November, every evening discover a double platter of artists.
Jef Neve and Teus Nobel
Pianist Jef Neve and trumpeter Teus Nobel have both been a staple of international jazz for years. Besides many projects under their own name, they have traveled together several times around the world in recent years. On stage and at festivals in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Canada, Japan and Australia, the audience visibly enjoyed the pleasure of playing these two musical beasts from Belgium.
Félix Stüssi Trio Nuovo
The Italian name suggests it, the Trio Nuovo is brand new, but Félix Stüssi (piano), Alex Leblanc (double bass) and Jules Payette (drums) have already established a beautiful musical complicity. Although the compositions are signed by the veteran Stüssi, creation remains a collective process. The two rising stars of Quebec jazz, well connected to the news jazzistic, welcome the proposals by cheerfully adding their grains of salt. Thus is born a unique, dynamic and fresh music that transcends not only styles, but also generations.
