Formé en 2009 à Toronto par les producteurs et DJs Dylan “DC” Mamid et Zachary “Hooks” Rapp-Rovan, Zeds Dead est l’un des groupes indépendants les plus accomplis de la musique électronique de la dernière décennie, cumulant des centaines de millions d’écoutes en streaming, des dizaines de hits classés dans le Top 20 du Billboard et plusieurs nominations aux prix JUNO. Zeds Dead a créé un son sans limite à travers sa vaste discographie, comprenant de nombreux singles à succès, des remixes et des EP. En 2016, Zeds Dead a sorti son premier album, Northern Lights, qui inclut des collaborations avec Diplo, Twin Shadow, Pusha T, Rivers Cuomo de Weezer, entre autres. Classé dans le Top 10 du Billboard dans les catégories Top Dance/Electronic Albums et Heatseekers Albums, l’album a également été nommé pour l’Enregistrement de l’année en danse aux JUNO Awards de 2017. En 2016, Zeds Dead a lancé son label influent, Deadbeats Records, aujourd’hui l’un des labels indépendants de premier plan dans la musique électronique, avec plus de 150 sorties d’artistes émergents comme DNMO, PEEKABOO, Subtronics, 1788-L et d’autres. Deadbeats a sorti plusieurs compilations, notamment Deadbeats Compilation (Vol. 1), Deadbeats Compilation (Vol. 2), We Are Deadbeats (Vol. 3) et We Are Deadbeats (Vol. 4), qui proposent des morceaux originaux de leur large répertoire d’artistes, dont REZZ, Megalodon, et Zeds Dead eux-mêmes. Zeds Dead et Deadbeats se sont récemment lancés dans les événements en direct avec la tournée Deadbeats Tour et l’événement annuel DeadRocks, un spectacle en tête d’affiche au Red Rocks Amphitheatre de Denver, qui affiche complet chaque année depuis son lancement en 2014.

Zeds Dead and Deadbeats have recently branched out into live events with the Deadbeats Tour and the annual DeadRocks event, a headlining show at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which has sold out every year since its launch in 2014.
