Guillaume Martineau a poursuivi de nombreuses années d’études professionnelles en piano classique. En tant que pianiste classique, Guillaume a reçu de nombreux honneurs dont le premier prix au Concours de Musique du Canada en 2009 et l’opportunité d’être entendu en train de jouer Chopin dans le récent film “Louis Cyr”.

À l’âge de 13 ans, Guillaume fait ses premiers essais dans le jazz en tant que pianiste classique avec l’introduction du bassiste Éric Lagacé. Plus de dix ans plus tard, Guillaume rencontre à nouveau Éric Lagacé ainsi qu’Oliver Jones et décide finalement de faire une transition en plongée dans le monde du jazz. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme du Berklee College of Music, Guillaume est maintenant très actif sur la scène musicale montréalaise dans plusieurs projets uniques de son cru.

Guillaume Martineau has pursued many years of professional studies in classical piano. Guillaume as a classical pianist received many honors including winning first prize at the Canadian Music Competion in 2009 and the opportunity to be heard playing Chopin in the recent movie “Louis Cyr”.

At the age of 13, Guillaume made his first attempts in jazz as a classical pianist with introduction from bassist Éric Lagacé. Over ten years later, Guillaume meets Éric Lagacé once again together with Oliver Jones and finally decides to make a diving transition into the world of jazz. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Guillaume is now very active on Montreal’s music scene in many unique projects of his own.
