Forró is a cultural expression born in the northeastern region of Brazil, but very important in the whole country. Its traditional rhythms include baião, arrasta pé and xote, making people dance and sing to lyrics and melodies composed by Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Anastácia, among other great composers.
Born in Recife and extremely immersed in this musical universe, multi-instrumentalist Lara Klaus formed the trio “Forró de Lá” with musicians Rodrigo Simões and Gabriel Schwartz, who promise to bring a little bit of Brazil to Montreal and make the audience have fun. The word “lá” refers to the Brazilian northeast and also to the first syllable of the name “Lara”.
Forró est une expression culturelle née dans la région du nord-est du Brésil, mais très importante dans tout le pays. Ses rythmes traditionnels incluent baião, arrasta pé et xote, faisant danser et chanter des paroles et des mélodies composées par Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Anastácia, parmi d’autres grands compositeurs.
Née à Recife et extrêmement immergée dans cet univers musical, la multi-instrumentiste Lara Klaus a formé le trio “Forró de Lá” avec des musiciens Rodrigo Simões et Gabriel Schwartz, qui promettent d’amener un peu du Brésil à Montréal et faire s’amuser l’audience.
