La musicienne et artiste multidisciplinaire Annie Wren MacLeod, née en 2001, a grandi à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique. Elle a déménagé à Montréal en 2019 pour étudier le cinéma à l’Université Concordia, faisant irruption sur la scène musicale locale en tant que frontwoman électrisante du trio post-punk Piss For Pumpkin. Après leur dissolution, elle a formé le projet dark-folk Marontate, connu pour ses voix envoûtantes, sa guitare abrasive et ses performances hypnotiques.
