Sun 09 Nov 2025 • 06:00 pm arabo-andalou / Classical Singing / conférence
Espace culturel Kawalees - Montréal Gratuit
· by Rédaction PAN M 360

Migration carves invisible traces in musical repertoires, shaping both the works themselves and the destinies of those who carry them. This conversation brings to life the interplay of human and musical migration through the voices of two eminent Algerian artists: Lila Borsali and Fairouz Oudjida.
Their testimonies intersect with those of researchers Caroline Marcoux-Gendron (UQAM/HEC) and Kayvan Jafarinejad (EHESS/CRAL), co-organizers of the cycle Musiciennes en migration. Together, they highlight the gendered, professional, and cultural challenges of artistic mobility, while revealing the silences and strengths that underpin exile and creativity.
