At The Gates au Théâtre Corona

At the Gates a été formé à Göteborg, en Suède, en 1990, par d’anciens membres du groupe de death/black metal Grotesque. Ils ont enregistré un premier EP, Gardens of Grief, pour le label Dolores. L’EP a conduit le label de metal Peaceville Records à signer le groupe, et ils ont sorti leur premier album complet, The Red in the Sky Is Ours, en 1992, un album au son éclectique, avec des arrangements néo-classiques comprenant un solo de cordes.

At the Gates was formed in Gothenburg Sweden, in 1990, by former members of the death/black metal band Grotesque. They recorded a debut EP, Gardens of Grief, for the Dolores record label. The EP led seminal metal label Peaceville Records to sign the band, and they released their debut full-length album, The Red in the Sky Is Ours, in 1992, an album with an eclectic sound, featuring neo-classical arrangements including a string solo.
