Il travaille ensuite en tant que pianiste et directeur musical pour le chanteur Waldo Mendoza et voyage autour du monde avec le flûtiste Orlando Valle «Maraca». En 2016, il lance son premier album, El que Busca Encuentra, avec l’étiquette du Buena Vista Social Club, EGREM, et obtient une nomination aux prix Cuba Disco dans la catégorie de meilleur album de salsa pour un nouvel artiste en 2017.
