Top Albums of 2024 | Marie-Laure Saidani, MUTEK

· by Rédaction PAN M 360

To kick off 2025, PAN M 360 asked several of its partners’ artistic directors to suggest their favorite albums of the past year.

Unquestionably one of the most accomplished programmers in the Montreal music ecosystem, Marie-Laure Saidani was once the mastermind of the Piknic Electronik and Igfloofest programs and is now part of MUTEK’s trio of artistic directors. With over 15 years of experience in various cultural structures (mainly in the electronic music industry), she has achieved excellence in her field. Specializing in artist booking and contract negotiation, this versatile professional never ceases to nurture her musicological depth, making an important contribution to the quality of MUTEK’s programming.

Ela Minus – Dia / Domino

I’m cheating a little on that. It’s coming out on January 17. I got it at the beginning of spring but I’ve listened to it so much that it won’t be in my top 2025 next December.

2nd album from the Colombian. I like it all.

Liliane Chlela – Anatomy of a Jerk/ Infinite Machine

Percussive sound experience from Montreal-based Lebanese artist

Chxmeras- Terminal City / Virtua94

Echoing the decline of capitalist society. Courtesy of Vancouver duo

Ebony – Union / Moonshine

To listen to in your living room or on the dancefloor, by Jordan Gardner and R-oderick

Tarta Relena –  És pregunta / Latency

My passion. If anyone ever managed to get through my propaganda, here’s your chance to catch up. Mediterranean stories in hypnotic languages and spellbinding music.

Smerz, GAEA – Tidligere den dagen / Shopping Records

Another album I’ve been obsessed with for 6 months. Choir + contemporary electronic music.

Hildegard – Jour 1596 / Chivi Chivi

Helena Deland & Ouri are back. Let yourself be carried away!

Lechuga Zafiro – Desde los oídos de un sapo / TraTraTrax

7 years of field recordings. The result is a crazy dancefloor album.
