Grand spectacle du groupe Bumaranga pour le lancement de son deuxième album FIESTA EN EL BARRIO ! avec DJ Guasà pour continuer la danse ! Les traditions afro-colombiennes sont l’âme de la musique de Bumaranga. Si le groupe y apporte une touche moderne avec les instruments électriques , la tambora, tambour alegre, la gaita et les vents dominent . Rythmes attrayants, les cumbia, puya et mapalé appellent à la danse. DJ Guasa Il explore leurs racines les plus épurées et déclinaisons [éléctro-roots] les plus envoûtantes. Currulao, cumbia et champeta règlent leurs décalages, rhum and bass style, installant d’emblée la pure deep fiesta!

Big show of the group Bumaranga for the launching of its second album FIESTA EN EL BARRIO! with DJ Guasà to continue the dance! The Afro-Colombian traditions are the soul of Bumaranga’s music. If the group brings a modern touch with electric instruments, the tambora, alegre drum, gaita and winds dominate. Attractive rhythms, cumbia, puya, and mapalé call for dancing. DJ Guasa explores their purest roots and most bewitching [electro-roots] declinations. Currulao, cumbia, and champeta set their shifts, rum and bass style, installing from the start the pure deep fiesta!

Andréane Le May & Emy Taliana au Ministère

Andréane Le May a posé ses bagages en France pendant près de sept ans, où elle a décroché l’Étoile de l’Espoir musique 2017 du journal Le Parisien. Son dernier album, « Racines », lancé en 2021, parle du goût amer de la solitude et de son nouveau besoin d’immobilité. Sa voix enveloppante est portée par une pop aux teintes de folk et de jazz. Elle partage la scène avec Emy Taliana, une artiste française qui présente ici son 3e album « Everything is love ».

Andréane Le May has been in France for nearly seven years, where she won the 2017 Étoile de l’Espoir musique from Le Parisien newspaper. Her latest album, « Racines, » released in 2021, is about the bitter taste of loneliness and her newfound need for stillness. Her enveloping voice is carried by a pop music with folk and jazz tints. She shares the stage with Emy Taliana, a French artist who presents here her 3rd album « Everything is love ».

Mat Vezio au Ministère

Voici le premier spectacle officiel de la tournée de Couleur Ciel Ecchymose.

Ce sera aussi l’occasion de lancer le vinyle Couleur Ciel Ecchymose. Accompagné de ses fidèles comparses, Charles St-Amour et Olivier Cousineau, Mat jouera des chansons de ses trois albums.

La mise en scène sera assurée par Navet Confit. Gaële aux précieux conseils. Et la scénographie sera conceptualisée par Pestacle.

This is the first official show of the Couleur Ciel Ecchymose tour.

It will also be the occasion to launch the Couleur Ciel Ecchymose vinyl. Accompanied by my faithful companions, Charles St-Amour and Olivier Cousineau, we will play songs from my three albums.

The staging will be done by Navet Confit. Gaële with the precious advice. And the scenography will be conceptualized by Pestacle.

Lancement d’album : Raccoon au Ministère

Sur ce troisième opus, son premier en plus de deux ans, Raccoon analyse son parcours, son entourage et la société avec justesse et perspicacité. En se réappropriant le terme péjoratif « coon », le rappeur pose un regard lucide sur son rôle de rappeur noir dans une industrie musicale blanche. Historiquement utilisé par les Blancs pour discriminer les Noirs (à la manière du mot en n), le terme est également utilisé pour pointer du doigt un Noir qui aurait perdu sa culture d’origine au profit d’une culture blanche dominante. Originaire d’un quartier populaire de l’est de Montréal, Shamyr Daléus-Louis, alias Raccoon a souvent eu cette impression d’être critiqué, parfois même rejeté par ses pairs après avoir atteint d’importants paliers dans le milieu culturel québécois – particulièrement sa nomination en tant que Révélation Radio-Canada (2020-2021) et sa participation à la compétition rap télévisée La fin des faibles (Télé-Québec, 2021).

On this third opus, his first in over two years, Raccoon analyzes his background, his surroundings and society with accuracy and insight. By reclaiming the derogatory term « coon, » the rapper takes a clear-eyed look at his role as a black rapper in a white music industry. Historically used by whites to discriminate against blacks (in the manner of the n-word), the term is also used to point the finger at a black person who has lost his or her original culture to a dominant white culture. Originally from a working class neighborhood in the east end of Montreal, Shamyr Daléus-Louis, aka Raccoon, has often felt criticized, sometimes even rejected by his peers after reaching important milestones in the Quebec cultural scene – particularly his nomination as Révélation Radio-Canada (2020-2021) and his participation in the televised rap competition La fin des faibles (Télé-Québec, 2021).

Lancement d’album : Rosie Valland au Ministère

Avec cet album, Rosie effectue un retour à elle. Emmanuelle. La petite fille qui écoute des divas pop des années 90 en voiture et qui rêve de devenir chanteuse.

Les mélodies rythmées et accrocheuses n’enlèvent rien à la force des propos. C’est une pop décomplexée et profonde, des chansons qui nous prouvent que l’on peut lâcher notre fou et réfléchir. Au sortir de ces années difficiles, nous n’aurons plus envie de pleurer, nous aurons besoin de danser !

With this album, Rosie makes a return to herself. Emmanuelle. The little girl who listens to 90’s pop divas in the car and dreams of becoming a singer.

The rhythmic and catchy melodies don’t take anything away from the strength of the lyrics. It’s an uncomplicated and deep pop, songs that prove to us that we can let go of our crazy and think. At the end of these difficult years, we won’t want to cry anymore, we’ll need to dance!

M Pour Montréal : Ping Pong Go & Ducks LTD. au Ministère

Ping Pong Go, c’est le projet de musique instrumentale du pianiste Vincent Gagnon et du batteur P-E Beaudoin, qu’on a pu voir en accompagnement d’Hubert Lenoir, Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Keith Kouna, Tire le Coyote, Ariane Roy et Gabrielle Shonk pour ne nommer que ceux-ci. Ping Pong Go fait partie du nouveau label instrumental popop qui a vu le jour à la mi-novembre 2021

Ping Pong Go is the instrumental music project of pianist Vincent Gagnon and drummer P-E Beaudoin, who have performed with Hubert Lenoir, Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Keith Kouna, Tire le Coyote, Ariane Roy and Gabrielle Shonk, to name a few. Ping Pong Go is part of the new popop instrumental label that was launched in mid-November 2021

À l’aise autant en studio que sur scène, ALIAS trace une franche ligne entre le produit fini du premier et celui animé de la seconde, là où les compositions vibrent dans des états nouveaux, davantage bruts. Emmanuel Alias (guitare, voix), Jean-Baptiste Beltra (clavier, guitare), Vincent Bénézet (basse) et Simon Bilodeau (batterie) propulsent un psych rock planant marqué de revers à travers des hauts et bas d’intensité, chinant les genres en évoquant les canons pour mieux explorer autour. Il se passe quelque chose de plus, simplement – via l’imprévu, l’improvisation, l’ambiance : une performance habitée, à chaque fois aguerrie et vierge.

At ease in the studio as much as on stage, ALIAS draws a clear line between the finished product of the former and the animated one of the latter, where the compositions vibrate in new, more raw states. Emmanuel Alias (guitar, vocals), Jean-Baptiste Beltra (keyboard, guitar), Vincent Bénézet (bass) and Simon Bilodeau (drums) propel a soaring psych-rock marked by reversals through ups and downs of intensity, chasing genres by evoking the canons to better explore around them. There’s something more going on, simply – via the unexpected, the improvisation, the atmosphere: a lived-in performance, each time seasoned and untouched.
