Auteure-compositrice-interprète montréalaise, Emi Jeen débarque sur la scène alt-pop en solo, et raconte des histoires évocatrices – d’espoir et de nostalgie, à la fois mélancoliques et gracieuses, mais toujours teintées d’une urgence brute. Remarquée sur scène pour son énergie théâtrale et son franc talent d’interprète, c’est aussi l’exubérance de son style et esthétique dark pop qui ne laisse personne indifférent!

Emi Jeen se dévoile avec une assurance incarnée dès la récente sortie du premier titre de son nouveau projet à, Dark Lonely Summer, et de la chanson One Million Perfume. Pour entamer un tout nouveau chapitre, et sans cacher ses visées internationales, le prochain EP intitulé Why So Serious, à paraître dès la fin de l’été 2022 promet une production inspirée de la pop-rock des années 90, des voix puissantes empreintes de vulnérabilité.

Montreal-based singer-songwriter Emi Jeen is coming to the alt-pop scene as a solo artist, telling evocative stories – of hope and longing, both melancholy and graceful, but always tinged with a raw urgency. Noted on stage for her theatrical energy and outspoken performance skills, it is also the exuberance of her dark pop style and aesthetic that leaves no one indifferent!

Emi Jeen unveils herself with an embodied confidence with the recent release of the first track of her new project, Dark Lonely Summer, and the song One Million Perfume. Starting a whole new chapter, and not hiding her international aims, the upcoming EP Why So Serious, to be released in late summer 2022, promises 90’s pop-rock inspired production, powerful vocals and vulnerability.

Bantü Salsa au Ministère

Bantü Salsa est un heureux mélange de salsa africaine aux allures groove et jazz. Les rythmes latins au piano se mêlent à la poésie de la kora, soutenus par trois cuivres délicatement orchestrés, ainsi que deux sets de percussions au-delà desquels émerge la voix de Just Wôan doté d’une incroyable aisance vocale dont lui seul détient le secret. Des rythmes bantous à la salsa, un fil conducteur effervescent traverse la musique de ce collectif aux origines diverses: l’histoire commune et séculaire de ses membres, de l’Afrique à l’Amérique latine. Ici kora, percussions, cuivres et piano dialoguent en toute harmonie et avec dynamisme, liés par la voix aux multiples octaves de Just Wôan.

Bantü Salsa is a happy mix of African salsa with a groovy and jazz feel. Latin rhythms on the piano are mixed with the poetry of the kora, supported by three delicately orchestrated brass instruments, as well as two sets of percussion beyond which emerges the voice of Just Wôan endowed with an incredible vocal ease of which only he holds the secret. From Bantu rhythms to salsa, an effervescent thread runs through the music of this collective with diverse origins: the common and secular history of its members, from Africa to Latin America. Here kora, percussion, brass and piano dialogue in harmony and with dynamism, linked by Just Wôan’s multi octave voice.

Sina Bathaie au Ministère

Producteur et multi-instrumentiste basé à Toronto, Canada, originaire d’Iran, il est connu pour son style unique qui utilise des sons organiques authentiques dans sa musique. Sina a commencé à apprendre le Santur à l’âge de sept ans puis a étudié le répertoire classique persan (Radif) avec l’instrument Oud. Il a ensuite étudié la composition et l’orchestration pour les films au Berklee College of Music. Son amour pour la musique électronique l’a poussé à utiliser ses compétences en matière de performance et d’improvisation pour intégrer des instruments acoustiques tels que le Baglama, le Santur, le Oud, le Handpan et le Kamancheh à sa musique, créant ainsi un son organique apaisant avec une touche orientale. Sina a été signé par Hoomidaas et Tibetania records.

Producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto, Canada , originally from IRAN is known for his unique style in using authentic organic sound in his music. Sina started learning Santur at the age seven then studied Persian classical repertoire (Radif) with the instrument Oud. He later studied Composition and Orchestration for Films at Berklee College of Music. His love for electronic music made him use his performance and improvisation skills in brining acoustic instruments such as Baglama, Santur, Oud, Handpan and Kamancheh to his music creating a soothing organic sound with eastern touch. Sina has been signed to Hoomidaas and Tibetania records.

MôdiVerrâ au Ministère

À la fois rock et très festive, la musique de MôdiVerrâ s’inscrit dans le courant trad-métal avec la volonté de rendre hommage à l’histoire des francophones d’Amérique du Nord, à ses héros connus et moins connus. Chaque chanson raconte l’histoire d’un personnage qui a fait l’Amérique française! Le répertoire et le spectacle de MôdiVerrâ sont constitués de compositions qui traitent principalement de l’histoire de la Nouvelle France et du Canada français mais aussi d’adaptations de musiques traditionnelles de Gilles Vigneault ou du répertoire du folkloriste Jacques Labrecque.

Both rock and very festive, MôdiVerrâ’s music is part of the trad-metal trend with the desire to pay tribute to the history of French-speaking North America, to its known and lesser known heroes. Each song tells the story of a character who made French America! MôdiVerrâ’s repertoire and show are made up of compositions that deal mainly with the history of New France and French Canada, but also adaptations of traditional music by Gilles Vigneault or the repertoire of folklorist Jacques Labrecque.

Grand spectacle du groupe Bumaranga pour le lancement de son deuxième album FIESTA EN EL BARRIO ! avec DJ Guasà pour continuer la danse ! Les traditions afro-colombiennes sont l’âme de la musique de Bumaranga. Si le groupe y apporte une touche moderne avec les instruments électriques , la tambora, tambour alegre, la gaita et les vents dominent . Rythmes attrayants, les cumbia, puya et mapalé appellent à la danse. DJ Guasa Il explore leurs racines les plus épurées et déclinaisons [éléctro-roots] les plus envoûtantes. Currulao, cumbia et champeta règlent leurs décalages, rhum and bass style, installant d’emblée la pure deep fiesta!

Big show of the group Bumaranga for the launching of its second album FIESTA EN EL BARRIO! with DJ Guasà to continue the dance! The Afro-Colombian traditions are the soul of Bumaranga’s music. If the group brings a modern touch with electric instruments, the tambora, alegre drum, gaita and winds dominate. Attractive rhythms, cumbia, puya, and mapalé call for dancing. DJ Guasa explores their purest roots and most bewitching [electro-roots] declinations. Andréane Le May & Emy Taliana au Ministère

Andréane Le May a posé ses bagages en France pendant près de sept ans, où elle a décroché l’Étoile de l’Espoir musique 2017 du journal Le Parisien. Son dernier album, « Racines », lancé en 2021, parle du goût amer de la solitude et de son nouveau besoin d’immobilité. Sa voix enveloppante est portée par une pop aux teintes de folk et de jazz. Elle partage la scène avec Emy Taliana, une artiste française qui présente ici son 3e album « Everything is love ».

Andréane Le May has been in France for nearly seven years, where she won the 2017 Étoile de l’Espoir musique from Le Parisien newspaper. Her latest album, « Racines, » released in 2021, is about the bitter taste of loneliness and her newfound need for stillness. Her enveloping voice is carried by a pop music with folk and jazz tints. She shares the stage with Emy Taliana, a French artist who presents here her 3rd album « Everything is love ».

Mat Vezio au Ministère

Voici le premier spectacle officiel de la tournée de Couleur Ciel Ecchymose.

Ce sera aussi l’occasion de lancer le vinyle Couleur Ciel Ecchymose. Accompagné de ses fidèles comparses, Charles St-Amour et Olivier Cousineau, Mat jouera des chansons de ses trois albums.

La mise en scène sera assurée par Navet Confit. Gaële aux précieux conseils. Et la scénographie sera conceptualisée par Pestacle.

This is the first official show of the Couleur Ciel Ecchymose tour.

It will also be the occasion to launch the Couleur Ciel Ecchymose vinyl. Accompanied by my faithful companions, Charles St-Amour and Olivier Cousineau, we will play songs from my three albums.

The staging will be done by Navet Confit. Gaële with the precious advice. And the scenography will be conceptualized by Pestacle.
