Le compositeur italien Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643) a apporté une contribution majeure à l’évolution du madrigal, la forme musicale la plus émotionnelle de l’époque. De 1587 à 1638, il a écrit environ 200 madrigaux, publiés en huit livres au fil desquels on peut non seulement suivre la progression de son style, mais aussi tomber en amour avec sa musique : Canti amorosi! Avec l’Ensemble vocal Arts-Québec sous la direction du chef Matthias Maute.4

Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643) made a significant contribution to the evolution of the madrigal, the musical form of the period that placed the most emphasis on emotional expression. From 1587 to 1638, he wrote approximately 200 madrigals, which were published in eight books that trace the evolution of his style and fill us with an intense appreciation for his music. Canti amorosi! With the Ensemble vocal Arts-Québec under the direction of Matthias Maute.
