Les Char­bon­niers de l’enfer : F-I FI, N-I NI! à la salle Octave-Crémazie

« Le temps passe et il y met le temps » disait une chanson. Et le temps a passé! Après plus de trente années à charbonner joyeusement, ici comme ailleurs, sur les braises ardentes du répertoire traditionnel québécois, Les Charbonniers de l’enfer offrent une dernière occasion de les voir sur les planches, dans un spectacle mis en scène par le regard brillant d’Émile Proulx-Cloutier. 30 ans de rapaillages et de partage; 30 ans à chanter sans jamais déchanter sur l’accord du pied; 30 ans de camaraderie à l’unisson ou en harmonie; 30 ans à bien s’entendre et des fois à s’attendre. Après tous ces temps de joie et une grosse peine marquée par le deuil de leur grand Jean-Claude Rossignolet des bois, pourquoi ne pas se faire plaisir et du même coup faire plaisir? C’est ainsi que Michel Bordeleau, Michel Faubert, André Marchand et Normand Miron reprennent les grands chemins qu’ils ont tant parcourus et présentent cet ultime tour de leur monde musical inoubliable.

After more than thirty years joyfully toiling here and elsewhere, stoking the glowing embers of Québec’s traditional repertoire, Les Charbonniers de l’enfer are offering one last chance to see them on stage, in a show directed with the brilliant vision of Émile Proulx-Cloutier. Thirty years of gathering and sharing; thirty years of singing without ever losing heart, keeping time with the tapping foot; thirty years of camaraderie in unison and harmony; thirty years of getting along well, and sometimes keeping each other waiting. Pour souligner ses 50 ans de carrière, Yves Lambert offre un spectacle généreux et festif qui explore le grand répertoire qu’il a bâti depuis ses tout débuts avec la Bottine Souriante jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Avec une orchestration qui tend vers de nouvelles avenues harmoniques et rythmiques, Lambert présente ses titres les plus connus tels que La ziguezon, La cuisinière et Dans nos vieilles maisons ainsi que plusieurs chansons qui ont façonné son parcours empreint de textures sonores affirmant toujours sa « québécitude » passionnée, ouverte et créative! Pour l’occasion, il sera accompagné sur scène de son Grand Orchestre composé de 7 musiciennes et musiciens : Paul Audy (guitare, voix) Robin Boulianne (violon, mandoline, podorythmie, voix) Mathieu Royer (contrebasse), Geneviève St-Pierre (clavier) et une section de vent remplie de chaleur avec Mélanie Bourassa (clarinette basse et clarinette), Mary Chalk (basson) et Gabriel Schwartz (saxophone, flûte traversière, piccolo et percussion). « Je suis un amoureux de l’harmonie, peu importe le style de musique, et présentement, j’ai des musiciens qui sont vraiment des virtuoses. To mark 50 years of his career, Yves Lambert presents a generous and festive show exploring the vast repertoire he has built since his early days with La Bottine Souriante up to today. With orchestration that ventures into new harmonic and rhythmic territory, Lambert revisits some of his best-known pieces such as La ziguezon, La cuisinière, and Dans nos vieilles maisons, along with many songs that have shaped his musical journey. Rich in sonic textures, the performance proudly reflects his passionate, open, and creative Québécois identity. For the occasion, he will be joined on stage by his Grand Orchestre, a seven-piece ensemble featuring Paul Audy (guitar, vocals), Robin Boulianne (violin, mandolin, podorythmy, vocals), Mathieu Royer (double bass), Geneviève St-Pierre (keyboards), along with a warm and vibrant wind section featuring Mélanie Bourassa (bass clarinet and clarinet), Mary Chalk (bassoon), and Gabriel Schwartz (saxophone, flute, piccolo, and percussion). “I’m a lover of harmony, no matter the style of music, and right now I have musicians who are truly virtuosos. Dans le cadre de la Série Prestige & Patrimoine, GSI Musique et Oziko présentent Ferland symphonique; un hommage grandiose et vibrant créé sur l’œuvre du Petit Roi, l’unique Jean-Pierre Ferland. Cette grande aventure musicale prendra vie grâce aux arrangements symphoniques de Blair Thomson et sera interprétée par l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec, sous la direction du chef Alain Trudel. Des éléments de scénographie et de mise en scène seront annoncés sous peu… et à l’image de l’artiste qu’il était, ce sera rempli de poésie. Grand poète et bâtisseur, Jean-Pierre Ferland aura tissé des ponts entre la chanson à texte et la culture populaire, d’où l’importance de célébrer son héritage exceptionnel.

As part of their Prestige & Patrimoine series, GSI Musique and Oziko present Ferland symphonique; a bold, vibrant tribute to the work of the Petit Roi, the unique Jean-Pierre Ferland. This epic musical journey will come to life thanks to the symphonic arrangements of Blair Thomson and will be performed by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, under the baton of conductor Alain Trudel. Scenography and mise-en-scène elements will be announced shortly. In the image of the artist Ferland was, it will all be very poetic. A crowd-pleasing poet, Jean-Pierre Ferland built bridges between literary songwriting and pop culture, hence the importance of celebrating his exceptional heritage.

Karaoké 90 : c’est une célébration des années 90 et de la musique qui réunit, un moment de joyeuse nostalgie et de plaisir partagé. Mentionnons qu’à leur arrivée, les spectateurs seront invités à s’inscrire pour participer à un karaoké géant qui verra chaque soir une personne du public monter sur scène pour interpréter sa chanson aux côtés de Ludovick et de ses musiciens, dans une ambiance que l’on promet survoltée !

OSQ : Carmina Burana à la salle Louis-Fréchette

Une musique comme venue d’âges anciens, mue par des forces telluriques, des rythmes ancestraux, des chants originels aux résonances universelles : voici comment Carl Orff a imaginé ses Carmina Burana. Il choisit 24 poèmes profanes tirés d’un recueil du XIIIe siècle, découvert dans une abbaye bavaroise, pour composer une cantate scénique monumentale. L’œuvre s’ouvre et se conclut avec le célèbre O Fortuna, un chœur ensorcelant, puissant, tout simplement inoubliable. Une distribution canadienne de premier plan magnifie les thèmes du destin, de l’amour et de la fortune mis en relief par Orff par une utilisation saisissante des chœurs, de l’orchestre et des percussions : un concert qu’on ne sera pas près d’oublier! Son œuvre s’inspire de la première partie du roman dystopique de George Orwell : 1984.

Music that seems to come from ancient times, driven by telluric forces, ancestral rhythms, and primal chants with universal resonance : this is how Carl Orff imagined Carmina Burana. He selected 24 secular poems from a 13th-century collection discovered in a Bavarian abbey to compose a monumental staged cantata. The work opens and closes with the famous O Fortuna, an enchanting and powerful chorus that is simply unforgettable. A leading Canadian cast brings to life the themes of fate, love, and fortune highlighted by Orff through striking use of chorus, orchestra, and percussion, creating a concert experience that audiences will not soon forget. In the first half of the program, the orchestra will perform a new work by Quebec composer and Université Laval professor Éric Morin. His composition is inspired by the first part of the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell.
