Le Gala des amoureux is a unique show put on by Productions Stéphane Laforest inc. On stage, the 30-strong La Sinfonia de Lanaudière orchestra, conducted by Maestro Stéphane Laforest, will be joined by Christian-Marc Gendron and Manon Séguin, Marc-André Fortin and Caroline Riverin, and Luc De Larochellière and Andrea Lindsay in symphonic versions of great love songs.

Viola Masterclass With Michael van der Sloot at Salle Serge-Garant

The Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Music is delighted to welcome Michael van der Sloot, for a free public masterclass highlighting the viola students in Jutta Puchhammer’s class.

About Michael van der Sloot

Michael van der Sloot is Professor of Viola at the University of Ottawa and former Coordinator at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. After receiving his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of British Columbia, he went on to perfect his skills at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg, before becoming a member of the renowned Salzburg Chamber Soloists, with whom he toured Europe extensively.

La Faculté de musique de l’Université de Montréal est heureuse d’accueillir Michael van der Sloot, à l’occasion d’un cours de maître public et gratuit qui mettra en lumière les étudiantes et étudiants des programmes d’interprétation en alto de la classe de Jutta Puchhammer.  

À propos de Michael van der Sloot

Professeur d’alto à l’Université d’Ottawa, Michael van der Sloot a également été coordonnateur au Victoria Conservatory of Music. Détenant un baccalauréat et une maîtrise de l’University of British Columbia, il s’est ensuite perfectionné au prestigieux Mozarteum de Salzbourg, avant de devenir membre du célèbre Salzburg Chamber Soloists, ensemble avec lequel il a effectué de nombreuses tournées en Europe.

Only The Righteous is a group formed in Montreal in 2017. Combining their passion for sounds such as Hip-Hop, Jazz or R&B, as well as music such as Kompa, Makossa or Bend skin, they offer a show full of rhythm and warmth, carried by compositions and covers in French, English, Creole or Medumba.

Alliant leur passion pour des sons tels que le Hip-Hop, le Jazz ou le R&B, ainsi que des musiques telles que le Kompa, le Makossa ou le Bend skin, ils proposent un spectacle plein de rythme et de chaleur, porté par des compositions et des reprises en français, anglais, créole ou médumba.
