Le Festival de Lanaudière présente Mozart et Hamelin au sommet

Deux des plus grands pianistes de chez nous, deux fidèles de Lanaudière, deux collègues qu’un patronyme rapproche (bien qu’ils n’aient aucun lien de parenté), réunis sur une même scène pour la première fois ! Certes ni Marc-André Hamelin, ni Charles Richard-Hamelin n’ont besoin de présentation, mais ils se rencontrent à l’invitation du Festival autour de l’exquis Concerto pour deux pianos de Mozart, et retrouvent les Violons du Roy et leur fondateur Bernard Labadie.

Two of the country’s greatest pianists, two performers loyal to Lanaudière, two colleagues who share a name—though they are not related—perform together on the same stage for the first time! Marc-André Hamelin and Charles Richard-Hamelin need no introduction. They are together at the invitation of the Festival, to perform Mozart’s exquisite Concerto for Two Pianos, and to reunite with Les Violons du Roy and their founder Bernard Labadie.

Le Festival de Lanaudière présente Choros

Choros a vu le jour à l’hiver 2013, fruit de l’initiative de cinq musiciens dont les parcours s’étaient déjà croisés auparavant. Depuis sa création, l’ensemble s’est produit dans différents environnements et pour divers publics, de Montréal à Petite-Vallée, en passant par Québec et une installation sonore à Val-David. De Ligeti à Milhaud, en passant par Piazzolla et Karol Beffa, le quintette à vent Choros vous fait entendre des musiques de danse aux rythmes endiablés !

Choros came into being in the winter of 2013 at the initiative of five musicians whose paths had already crossed before. Since it was founded, the ensemble has performed in various environments for diverse audiences, from Montreal to Petite-Vallée, through Quebec City and in a sound installation in Val-David. From Ligeti to Milhaud through Piazzolla and Karol Beffa, the Choros wind quintet brings you dance music and irresistible rhythms!
