The Linda Lindas sont un produit de ces générations qui ont défini la scène underground de L.A. et d’ailleurs. Le groupe s’inspire du punk classique, du postpunk, du power pop et du new wave pour créer des morceaux intemporels et accrocheurs, interprétés par les quatre membres du groupe, chacune à leur unique manière. Elles ont performé à The Smell et à Head in the Cloud à L.A., en plus d’avoir participées au festival The Rose Bowl. followers in the pit at L.A.’s DIY punk institution The Smell and Head in the Cloud festivalgoers at The Rose Bowl alike. 

Sous l’allure timide et la voix délicate de Sophia Bel se cache un monde chaleureux, coloré et ludique, qui ne demande qu’à être découvert. Née dans le Michigan d’un père québécois et d’une mère hollando-américaine, Sophia a toujours trouvé sa voie à travers la musique, qu’il s’agisse de chanter des classiques des années 90 lorsqu’elle était plus jeune à maintenant lancer son premier album. Prenant son temps pour définir le genre de musique qu’elle voulait créer, Bel revient vers ses racines, fortement influencées par la pop rafraîchissante du début des années 2000, l’emo-rock et le pop-punk de l’époque.

Under Sophia Bel’s shy demeanor and delicate voice, there’s an inviting, colourful and playful world waiting for people to dive into. Born in Michigan from a Québécois dad and a Dutch-American mom, Sophia has always found her path through music, from singing 90s classics when she was younger to now releasing her debut album. Taking time for herself to recenter on the kind of music she wanted to make as an artist, Sophia Bel found herself going back to her roots, one that are heavily influenced by the fresh pop of the early 00s, by emo-rock, and pop-punk of yesteryears.

MBG est une artiste Alt-Rock et multi-instrumentiste basée à Toronto. En coulisses, elle écrit, enregistre et produit sa propre musique aux côtés de son coproducteur Phil Hirst, mais la fait ressortir dans sa forme la plus authentique sur scène avec son groupe d’amis talentueux. Elle espère percer sur la scène indie rock de Toronto en allant à contre-courant des boys bands fortement dominés dans le genre du rock avec son propre son fort, nerveux et unique.

MBG is an Alt-Rock artist and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto. Behind the scenes, she writes, records, and produces her own music alongside her co-producer Phil Hirst but brings it out in its truest form on stage with her band of talented friends. In hopes to break out in the Toronto indie rock scene going against the grain of heavily dominated boy bands in the genre of rock with her own loud, edgy, and unique sound.
