Le Winston Band is a Quebecois group that draws on the rich cultural heritage of Louisiana to create unifying songs inspired by zydeco : let’s call it Montreal-style zydeco, creolized by the city and adapted to its surroundings. Formed in 2012, the band has played over 600 shows, taking their music across Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and the United States – in addition to hosting a Montreal Mardi Gras celebration since 2014. Combining lively original compositions with revisited roots, the group has released several records, including Zig Zag Zydeco Zoo (2019), Winston Express (2023), and Enwèye à Lafayette (2021, awarded Best World Music Album at the GAMIQ). They will release their fourth full-length, and first under Simone Records, Attention, c’est chaud!, in winter 2026. Patche, c’est ben plus que des hommes-machines – même si y a ben de l’attirail électronique qui les entoure, y a aussi du feeling là-dedans sur un temps. Propulsé par cinq vieux amis qui officient auprès de ou en tant que Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu et zouz, le combo instrumental montréalais plonge dans l’électro tous synthés modulaires devant, augmenté d’une drive punk grâce à l’apport de drum machine, batterie acoustique, basses électrique et synthétique et harmonica synthétisé (!). Patche, c’est de l’électro qui est à la fois psychédélique et motorik, forgé de rythmes hypnotiques et de loops atypiques, convoquant tour à tour rock expérimental, techno de la Berlin School, art-rock, avant-garde et EDM dans un giron tourbillonnant. Le groupe a foulé d’importantes scènes au Québec (Festival de Jazz de Montréal, La Noce, FME) aussi bien qu’outre-Atlantique (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives…), cumulant au passage des tournées européennes et au UK : des shows hypnotiques, immersifs, qui induisent inévitablement la danse, voire la transe – et dont le public est une part intégrante. Faisant suite à Patche (2023) et Document (2024), Mode, son troisième album, est attendu pour octobre 2025 sous popop.

Patche is much more than just machine-men – even though there’s plenty of electronic gear around them, there’s also real feeling in the timing. Driven by five longtime friends who have worked with or as Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu, and Zouz, the Montreal-based instrumental combo dives into synth-heavy electro, augmented with a punk drive thanks to drum machines, acoustic drums, electric and synth bass, and even a synthesized harmonica. Imprégnée d’éléments du psychédélisme, composée autour de trames sonores éthérées et catapultant des rimes mélodiques bien acérées, la musique de Boutique Feelings (Montréal, QC) invite à la réflexion quant aux normes socio-politiques tout en proposant une variante alternative du hip-hop. Contournant les méthodes de composition traditionnelles, ce nouveau projet de Karim Lakhdar – connu en tant que chanteur, claviériste et guitariste de l’ensemble montréalais de psych rock progressif Atsuko Chiba – explore des thèmes relatifs à l’identité culturelle et personnelle, offrant une narration loquace mais décalée au fil de vers d’oreille saturés d’effets. Il en résulte des pièces aux franges du rap, du funk psychédélique, du trip-hop, du krautrock, de l’échantillonnage et de l’électroacoustique. L’artiste fait suite à son EP éponyme Boutique Feelings en annonçant Shwaya, Shwaya, un premier long jeu prévu pour 21 novembre 2025 via Mothland.
À la base, Boutique Feelings vise à défier la classification des genres en tissant des morceaux tentaculaires où le rap rencontre la musique alternative et expérimentale, Lakhdar notant que « la genèse du projet découle d’un amour pour la culture Hip-Hop, avec des influences allant d’OutKast et Madlib à Kim Gordon et Gorillaz. » Échantillons de classiques musicaux, instruments acoustiques enregistrés de façon lo-fi ou encore field recordings servent à raconter une histoire, Boutique Feelings créant des vers d’oreille où brillent des sonorités synthétiques comme organiques, tel que le montrent son triptyque éponyme comportant les pièces “Sundried Autumn”, “Trynna Do” et “I.Y.W.M.”. Rolling Stone QC écrit : « Boutique Feelings mêle hip-hop et électroacoustique. Entre trames sonores éthérées et rimes ciselées, sa musique s’attaque aux normes, sociales comme musicales, tout en proposant une écoute déroutante et nécessaire. » Parmi les principaux sujets abordés sur le EP, on compte la propagande médiatique, ainsi que l’anxiété et l’incertitude qu’elle propage, la déstabilisation de la pensée critique et les attentes sociétaires suscitant la haine envers soi, la colère et l’impatience. Sur une note plus positive, Lakhdar y promouvoit aussi l’autodétermination et la résilience, tout en célébrant son héritage mixte en tant que canadien aux racines tunisiennes et italiennes.
Bien que Boutique Feelings soit essentiellement un projet solo, des songes sonores relatant le parcours personnel de Lakhdar, son œuvre prend une toute nouvelle forme sur scène, alors qu’il est rejoint par une armada de musicien.ne.s, dont la flûtiste Vanessa Ascher, le guitariste Eric Shaufhauser, le claviériste/laptopiste Kevin McDonald, le bassiste David Palumbo, ainsi qu’Anthony Piazza à la batterie et aux projections en direct. Reflétant la nature expérimentale du projet, le concert live est rempli de moments improvisés; les chansons s’étirent souvent en paysages sonores méditatifs, offrant un équilibre face aux couplets effrénés et aux refrains accrocheurs. Infused with elements of psychedelia, built around ethereal soundscapes and propelled by sharp melodic rhymes, the music of Boutique Feelings (Montreal, QC) invites reflection on socio-political norms while offering an alternative take on hip-hop. Bypassing traditional composition methods, this new project from Karim Lakhdar, known as the singer, keyboardist, and guitarist of the Montreal progressive psych-rock ensemble Atsuko Chiba, explores themes of cultural and personal identity, delivering a loquacious yet off-kilter narrative through ear-catching, effect-saturated verses. The result is music that sits at the intersection of rap, psychedelic funk, trip-hop, krautrock, sampling, and electroacoustic sounds. Following his self-titled EP Boutique Feelings, Lakhdar is announcing Shwaya, Shwaya, his first full-length album, set for release on November 21, 2025 via Mothland.
At its core, Boutique Feelings seeks to defy genre classification by weaving sprawling tracks where rap meets alternative and experimental music. Lakhdar notes that “the genesis of the project stems from a love for hip-hop culture, with influences ranging from OutKast and Madlib to Kim Gordon and Gorillaz.” Samples of classic music, lo-fi recorded acoustic instruments, and field recordings are used to tell stories, creating earworms where synthetic and organic sounds shine, as demonstrated by his self-titled triptych featuring the tracks “Sundried Autumn,” “Trynna Do,” and “I.Y.W.M.” Rolling Stone QC writes: “Boutique Feelings blends hip-hop and electroacoustic music. Between ethereal soundscapes and finely crafted rhymes, his music challenges norms, both social and musical, while offering a disorienting yet essential listening experience.” Major topics on the EP include media propaganda, the anxiety and uncertainty it generates, the destabilization of critical thinking, and societal expectations that foster self-hate, anger, and impatience. On a more positive note, Lakhdar also promotes self-determination and resilience while celebrating his mixed heritage as a Canadian of Tunisian and Italian roots.
Although Boutique Feelings is primarily a solo project, exploring the personal journey of Lakhdar, the work takes on a new form on stage, where he is joined by a full ensemble of musicians, including flutist Vanessa Ascher, guitarist Eric Shaufhauser, keyboardist/laptop artist Kevin McDonald, bassist David Palumbo, and Anthony Piazza on drums and live visuals. Reflecting the experimental nature of the project, the live show features improvised moments; songs often stretch into meditative soundscapes, balancing fast-paced verses with catchy choruses. Since emerging on the Montreal scene in fall 2024, the project has been invited to several notable events, including M for Montreal, FME, and Taverne Tour, while sharing stages with artists such as Hua Li, Mike Chabb, and Magi Merlin.
Boutique Feelings will release the single “Long Shore” on September 25, 2025 via Mothland, offering a preview of the upcoming full-length album.

Worry fuse noise et émotion pour créer une expérience nostalgique chaleureuse, comme regarder des vidéos d’enfance sur une télévision brisée. L’expérience personnelle de Kerry Samuels, l’auteur-compositeur-interprète derrière le projet, est au centre des paroles et émotions des chansons. Accompagnés par Joey Proteau (Gaspard Eden) Aubert Gendron Marsolais (Valence) Xavier Beaulieu (Mid Divers) and Marianne Poirier (l i l a), ils livrent une musique à la fois puissante, rêveuse et accrocheuse.
Depuis 2020, Worry a sorti un EP de 5 chansons intitulé ‘’After Something’’ (sortie indépendante) suivi d’un assortiment de simples. Ils ont également joué plusieurs festivals et spectacles et supportés des groupes comme July Talk à l’Impérial et SOLIDS de Montréal, tout deux à guichets fermés, créant ainsi un public fidèle dans la ville de Québec. Ils prévoient nourrir cette fidélité avec la sortie de leur premier album, ‘’POSITIVE MEMORY’’ à paraître ce printemps 2026.

Worry fuses noise and emotion to create a warm, nostalgic experience, like watching childhood videos on a broken television. The personal experience of Kerry Samuels, the singer-songwriter behind the project, lies at the heart of the lyrics and emotions in the songs. Joined by Joey Proteau (Gaspard Eden), Aubert Gendron Marsolais (Valence), Xavier Beaulieu (Mid Divers), and Marianne Poirier (l i l a), they deliver music that is powerful, dreamy, and catchy.
Since 2020, Worry has released a 5-track EP titled After Something (independently released), followed by a series of singles. They have also played at several festivals and shows, supporting bands such as July Talk at L’Impérial and SOLIDS in Montreal, both sold-out, building a loyal following in Quebec City. They plan to continue nurturing this audience with the release of their debut album, POSITIVE MEMORY, set for spring 2026.

PUST c’t’un trio punk-hardcore formé de Benoit Poirier (Jesuslesfilles), Simon Doucet-Carrière (ex-Birmani) pis Pierre Brouillette Hamelin (Rorqual) : des tounes dans l’piton par où ça passe, qui carburent aux détours dans des espaces restreints, revirées de bord jusqu’à ce que ce soit assez ben faite pour rentrer dedans – à la fois l’fun pis drainant, autant décrissé qu’enligné, jamais trop loin d’achever.

Fondé à Québec en 2011, SANDVEISS est une formation Heavy Rock qui propose une musique à la fois lourde et mélodique, qui n’est pas sans rappeler Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Tool ou encore Mastodon. Leur premier album « Scream Queen », sorti en 2013 et ré-édité en 2014 sur l’étiquette Sexy Sloth, remporte le prix de l’album Heavy de l’année au GAMIQ 2015. Le même été, SANDVEISS se produit entre autres sur les plaines d’Abraham durant le FEQ (en ouverture de High on Fire et Megadeth) ainsi qu’au festival Heavy Montréal. 2016 est marquée par la sortie du EP 7″ vinyle (« Save Us All », nommé aux GAMIQ), ainsi que par une tournée en Suède. Après quelques changements de membres et une période d’écriture fructueuse, SANDVEISS est de retour en 2019 avec un deuxième album. « Saboteur » est lourd, accrocheur et salvateur. L’année suivante, le groupe dévoile Sandveiss Bloody Sandveiss, une tribune à leurs origines prenant la forme de quatre reprises de Black Sabbath. Un troisième album est sorti en 2024 : Standing in the Fire. À travers cet album, SANDVEISS aborde des thèmes tels que la division, la polarisation croissante et la toxicité des réseaux sociaux, qu’ils perçoivent comme le reflet d’une société malade. Le résultat est un album puissant et sincère, qui mêle intensité musicale et profondeur lyrique. Le groupe est actuellement composé de Luc Bourgeois (chant/ guitare), Shawn Rice (guitare), Maxime Moisan (basse) et Dominic Gaumond (batterie).

Founded in Québec City in 2011, SANDVEISS is a Heavy Rock band delivering music that is both heavy and melodic, recalling influences such as Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Tool, and Mastodon. The result is a powerful and sincere album, blending musical intensity with lyrical depth. Le Phoque OFF 2026 : Fleur de Peau + Beau Nectar + Tes Amants au Pantoum

21:00 – Fleur de Peau

Le projet musical synth-pop Fleur de Peau est né en janvier 2023. Il est composé de Louis Fernandez, multi instrumentiste-réalisateur et Élie Dubois-Sénéchal à la voix. Le duo a décidé de joindre leur force et leur créativité pour faire naître un projet plus grand qu’eux, en honneur de leur amour commun pour l’art et la musique.
Le son de Fleur de Peau est mélancolique, percutant et poétique. C’est un projet qui témoigne tantôt d’une réalité Queer et féministe, tantôt d’une approche personnelle et émotive de l’urgence de vivre. Avec le rythme de batteries teinté de réverbération et de drum machine robotique, on reconnaît dans la musique de Fleur de Peau une influence des années 80 tout en restant ancré dans un son moderne et alternatif. On y entend des synthétiseurs brillants et des guitares tantôt dynamiques, tantôt lo-fi et sombres. Sans être minimalistes, les arrangements ne voilent pas l’essentiel.
Le groupe sort un premier album au printemps 2024 dans lequel chacune des chansons possède son univers bien à elle. On peut y reconnaître des influences électro, punk, dreampop et indie rock. On y trouve des mélodies vocales caressantes et des guitares dissonantes et abrasives.
The synth-pop project Fleur de Peau was born in January 2023. It is composed of multi-instrumentalist and producer Louis Fernandez and vocalist Élie Dubois-Sénéchal. The duo decided to combine their talents and creativity to create a project larger than themselves, honoring their shared love for art and music.
Fleur de Peau’s sound is melancholic, punchy, and poetic. The project alternates between reflecting a queer and feminist reality and offering a personal, emotive approach to the urgency of living. With reverb-soaked drum rhythms and robotic drum machines, the music nods to 1980s influences while remaining grounded in a modern, alternative sound. The tracks feature bright synthesizers and guitars that range from dynamic to lo-fi and dark. The arrangements, while rich, never overshadow the essence of each song.
The band’s debut album, released in spring 2024, gives each track its own distinct universe. Listeners can hear echoes of electro, punk, dreampop, and indie rock, with caressing vocal melodies intertwined with dissonant, abrasive guitar lines.

Beau Nectar est une collaboration bilingue entre les auteures-compositrices-interprètes Marie-Clo et éemi. Le duo propose une musique intime et vibrante mêlant synth-pop et folk, inspirée par la faune et la flore, qui éveille l’empathie de leur public envers la nature. Signé chez Indica Records, le duo a lancé son premier album Two Lips le 2 juin 2023. Depuis, elles ont sorti deux singles en anglais (Apple, Loggerhead Shrike), extraits de leur prochain album Dandy, dont la sortie est prévue à l’hiver 2026.
Après la parution de leur premier album, Beau Nectar a effectué trois tournées à travers le pays, dont une en collaboration avec le prestigieux réseau Coup de cœur francophone. Elles ont été choisies pour assurer la première partie d’artistes de renommée internationale tels que Daniel Bélanger, Pierre Kwenders et Fanny Bloom, entre autres. Leur single Sous l’eau a débuté en quatrième position sur Sirius XM, tandis que Fleur de pot a été sélectionné pour une synchronisation dans la série télévisée Habitants du Nord (Unis TV). Récemment, le duo a été nommé à dix reprises aux prix Trille Or et a remporté deux distinctions : Album pop de l’année et Groupe de l’année (2025), en plus du prix Artiste pop de l’année aux Saskatchewan Music Awards (2025).

Beau Nectar is a bilingual collaboration between singer-songwriters Marie-Clo and éemi. Phoque OFF: Vendou, Easy Tiger, Reno McCarthy and LEXIL at Pantoum

Winner of Best Hip-Hop EP (GAMIQ) and a Telus Bursary in 2020, the Francouvertes semi-finalist is doing justice to the attention he’s been getting with the remarkable release of his debut album MILLÉNIUM (2021, L’Ours – Label). Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, garnering over a million listens to date, and boasting a nomination for the Félix Leclerc de la chanson award and a mention as Best Hip-Hop Album (GAMIQ), Vendou is propelled to the forefront of the emerging music scene. Far from stopping there, in the spring of 2021 he embarked on his first concert tour, taking his universe to the four corners of Quebec, Belgium and New Brunswick.

Filled to the brim by the discovery of these new horizons, it’s with the wind in his sails that he prepares the next step. After a 2-year hiatus punctuated by the release of the conceptual EP V POUR, he is preparing to turn the page on a new chapter in his life with the spring 2023 release of the song J’oublie, a first single imbued with hope and idealism in the colors of an album to come later in the year.

After the necessary farewells, new spaces, DIY signings and glasses of wine, Gabrielle La Rue (Guidestones, ex-NOBRO) and Sarah Dion (Les Shirley, NOBRO) unveil their Easy Tiger duo via the single “Ibiza”. Both lo-fi and vectorial, Easy Tiger incorporates power pop, indie rock, ’80s pop and country-rock influences to evoke “the soundtrack of a tiki bar full of cowboys drinking margaritas”. The duo released their debut EP Breakfast In Bed on May 6, 2022.

Reno McCarthy was born in Cambridge, England. He grew up listening to English-language music, and it was in English that he began to express himself artistically. Over the past five years, he has released two albums, two EPs and several singles, all of which have been very well received by audiences, critics and peers alike. It was through his involvement with several projects on the Montreal scene (Olivia Khoury, Bayta, Jeanne Côté) that he truly discovered French-language Quebec music.

Last summer, during a return to his roots in the UK, Reno wrote his first French lyrics to celebrate his dual cultural heritage.

This winter, following his participation in the 27th edition of the Francouvertes, Reno McCarthy

officially set out to produce his third full-length, his first in French.

Cet hiver, suite à sa participation à la 27e édition des Francouvertes, Reno McCarthy a officiellement mis le cap sur la production de son troisième long-jeu, un premier en français.

LEXIL is the rock renaissance of the 1990s. The band present their debut album Chutes Libres on stage. Phoque OFF: Jeanne Côté and Étienne Dufresne at Pantoum

Jeanne Côté hails from Petite-Vallée, on the Gaspé Peninsula, and it’s not letting her go: born into a family of musicians, she’s obsessed with the human connections, windows and river that accompany her everywhere. After releasing the Aller-retour EP (2019), produced by Louis-Jean Cormier, the singer-songwriter unveils her first full-length album, Suite pour personne, released last January and produced by Émilie Proulx and Arthur Bourdon-Durocher. In the spring, the artist took part in the 27th edition of the Francouvertes, winning first place in this showcase competition.

Rooted in the piano, she offers a pop-folk-alternative universe in which voice and lyrics take center stage. Through luminous, immersive songs, she explores the loneliness, joys and scattered landmarks of the twenties. Jeanne Côté carries a quiet strength, influenced by the women who have always inspired her, from Marie-Jo Thério to Kate Bush to her grandmother Denise.

Jeanne Côté est originaire de Petite-Vallée, en Gaspésie, et ça ne la lâche pas: issue d’une famille de musicien.ne.s, elle est obsédée par les liens humains, les fenêtres et le fleuve qui l’accompagnent partout. Après avoir lancé le EP Aller-retour (2019), réalisé par Louis-Jean Cormier, l’auteure-compositrice-interprète dévoile son premier album complet, Suite pour personne, paru en janvier dernier et réalisé par Émilie Proulx et Arthur Bourdon-Durocher. Au printemps, l’artiste participe à la 27e édition des Francouvertes, et se voit remporter la première place de ce concours-vitrine.

After a debut EP entitled Sainte-Colère in 2020, Etienne Dufresne released his debut album Excalibur in 2021, for which he was nominated for the Prix de la chanson Félix-Leclerc and as Revelation of the Year at the GAMIQ.

He joins the 2022 Chansonneurs de Petite-Vallée cohort, and makes his first major appearance at MTELUS, opening for French artist Eddy de Pretto.

In 2022, Etienne shares JE RESPIRE, a catchy, no-holds-barred pop track presented with Ariane Roy. On this occasion, he met producer Alexandre Martel, with whom he began co-producing a new album, due for release in early 2024.

Après un premier EP intitulé Sainte-Colère en 2020, Etienne Dufresne sort son premier album Excalibur en 2021 pour lequel il se voit nommé pour le prix de la chanson Félix-Leclerc et comme Révélation de l’année aux GAMIQ.

Il rejoint la cohorte 2022 des Chansonneurs de Petite-Vallée en plus de faire une première apparition marquée au MTELUS en première partie de l’artiste français Eddy de Pretto.

Etienne partage en 2022 JE RESPIRE; un morceau de pop accrocheur et décomplexé présenté avec Ariane Roy. Il rencontre à cette occasion le réalisateur Alexandre Martel avec qui il entame la co-réalisation d’un nouvel album à paraître au début 2024.

La Julia Smith is an experimental rock trio from Concepción, Chile. Since their first Quebec breakthrough at the FME in 2019, the band has traveled back and forth from South America to participate in a variety of festivals and artistic residencies, including M pour Montréal, HYPERART (Winnipeg), Breakout West (Kelowna). They also contributed music to the Quebec documentary “Pour Nous Chez Nous”.

La Julia Smith est un trio rock expérimental de Concepción au Chili. Depuis sa première percée au Québec au FME en 2019, le groupe a fait l’aller-retour de l’Amérique du Sud pour participer à une variété de festivals et résidences artistiques dont M pour Montréal, HYPERART (Winnipeg), Breakout West (Kelowna). Louis-Charles is a group that grew out of a set of songs written by Lou Manuel Arsenault. Gabrielle Poirier and Julien Moisan in a commune during the COVID-19 pandemic. After solidifying the line-up by adding the diverse talents of Gabriel Wagner and Jérémy Dufour, the band released their debut EP “Baby” independently and began playing shows in 2023 in Quebec City and Montreal. After spending several weeks in the top 3 of the CHYZ charts and at CISM, and selling out the Pantoum for their launch, the band is currently working on their first album, due for release in 2024.

Population II is a band committed to its disengagement, working with unwavering constancy on refining an imposing but unpretentious sound. The trio, made up of singer/drummer Pierre-Luc Gratton, guitarist/keyboardist Tristan Lacombe and bassist Sébastien Provençal, are masters of both improvised madness and refined composition, offering heavy psychedelic rock embellished with the feverish rhythms of funk, the philosophy of jazz, the boundless energy emanating from the early days of punk and a marked love of minor scales that recalls the ancestry of heavy metal.

Population II est un groupe engagé dans son désengagement, qui travaille avec une constance immuable sur le peaufinement d’un son imposant, mais sans prétention. Le trio, composé du chanteur/batteur Pierre-Luc Gratton, du guitariste/claviériste Tristan Lacombe et du bassiste Sébastien Provençal, est à la fois maître de la folie improvisée et de la composition raffinée, offrant un rock psychédélique pesant agrémenté des rythmes fiévreux du funk, de la philosophie du jazz, de l’énergie débordante émanant des premiers balbutiements du punk et d’un amour marqué pour les gammes mineures qui rappelle l’ascendance du heavy metal.

Kinkead is back with a show that recreates the atmosphere of Ballon Rouge, Quebec City’s legendary discotheque. As well as playing the biggest dance hits from their debut album, the duo will be presenting festive new songs and a few surprises, surrounded by guests.

Depuis le premier jam dans le ventre de leur mère en 1995, Henri et Simon Kinkead ne se quittent plus. Kinkead, c’est le nom de leur projet pop-québ dans lequel l’indie-rock, la néo-soul et le disco se mélangent dans un amour libre et polygame. Bien qu’influencés par les grands magistrats de la pop anglo (John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Frank Ocean), les deux frères écrivent des chansons profondément ancrées dans la culture québ et sa langue imagée.

À la fin 2018, ils ont lancé un premier EP (1995) qui a reçu un accueil positif des radios en plus de rejoindre un large public sur les différentes plateformes d’écoute. De nombreux spectacles ont suivi ce premier effort, notamment au Festival d’été de Québec. Leur complicité et le plaisir qu’ils partagent sur scène avec leurs acolytes sont contagieux et invitent à s’abandonner au groove. Les jumeaux reviennent en force en 2020 avec un premier album réalisé par Simon Kearney.

Since their first jam in their mother’s womb in 1995, Henri and Simon Kinkead have never left each other’s side. Kinkead is the name of their pop-québ project, in which indie-rock, neo-soul and disco blend in a free, polygamous love affair. Although influenced by the great magistrates of Anglo pop (John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Frank Ocean), the two brothers write songs deeply rooted in Québ culture and its imagery language.

In late 2018, they released their first EP (1995), which received a positive reception from radio stations in addition to reaching a wide audience on various listening platforms. Numerous shows followed this first effort, including at the Festival d’été de Québec. Their complicity and the pleasure they share on stage with their acolytes are contagious, inviting us to abandon ourselves to the groove. The twins return in 2020 with a debut album produced by Simon Kearney.

Experimental rock trio Yoo Doo Right (Montreal, CA) combines melodic and noisy guitar notes, doctored synthesizer patterns, fleshed-out bass lines and calculated percussive outbursts to create a powerful wall of sound. In their experimental approach, the band skillfully combines elements of shoegaze, post-rock, and psychedelia, and builds a sound that is akin to a “slow-motion traffic accident.
