Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso U.F.O., communément abrégé en Acid Mothers Temple ou AMT, est un groupe de rock japonais, dont le noyau s’est formé en 1995. Le groupe est dirigé par le guitariste Kawabata Makoto et, au début de sa carrière, il comptait de nombreux musiciens, groupes annexes et collaborations, mais en 2004, le line-up s’était coalisé avec seulement quelques membres principaux et de fréquents chanteurs invités. Le groupe a publié des albums sur un certain nombre de labels internationaux, ainsi que sur le label Acid Mothers Temple, créé en 1998 pour documenter les activités de l’ensemble du collectif.

Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso U.F.O., commonly shortened to Acid Mothers Temple or AMT, is a Japanese rock band, the core of which formed in 1995. The band is led by guitarist Kawabata Makoto and early in their career featured many musicians and offshoot groups and collaborations, but by 2004 the line-up had coalesced with only a few core members and frequent guest vocalists. The band has released albums frequently on a number of international record labels as well as the Acid Mothers Temple family record label, which was established in 1998 to document the activities of the whole collective.

Fils de Ronnie D’Addario, auteur-compositeur de power pop et multi-instrumentiste, les Lemon Twigs ont été formés par les frères Brian et Michael D’Addario. Canalisant l’énergie des auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes des années 70 de l’époque de leur père, avec un amour prononcé pour le théâtre musical et un sens aigu de la performance, les frères ont commencé à écrire des chansons dès leur plus jeune âge et ont sorti leur premier album en 2016, Do Hollywood, sur 4AD, à la fin de leur adolescence. Le succès est venu rapidement pour le groupe, avec une acclamation critique et une série d’apparitions télévisées ainsi que des tournées étendues. Ils sont passés de l’excentricité conceptuelle de leur deuxième album de 2018, Go to School, à un ensemble de chansons plus variées mais non moins grandiloquentes sur leur album de 2020, Songs for the General Public. Leur quatrième cycle d’albums a été lancé avec “Corner of My Eye” en 2023.

Sons of power pop songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Ronnie D’Addario, the Lemon Twigs were formed by brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario. Channeling some of the ’70s singer/songwriter energy of their father’s era with a healthy love of musical theater and an over-the-top performance display, the brothers began writing songs at young ages and delivered their 2016 debut album, Do Hollywood, on 4AD at the tail end of their teenage years. Success came quickly for the band, with critical acclaim and a string of TV appearances as well as extensive touring. They went from the conceptual eccentricity of their 2018 sophomore album, Go to School, to a more varied but no less bombastic set of songs on their 2020 album Songs for the General Public. Their fourth album cycle was launched with “Corner of My Eye” in 2023.

Le groupe a décrit sa musique comme du “black metal transcendantal”, notamment dans un manifeste écrit par Hunt-Hendrix ; dans le processus de transformation de leur style de black metal, ils ont expérimenté d’autres genres, y compris le rock progressif, le hip hop et la musique électronique. Khemmis est un groupe de doomed heavy metal originaire de Denver, CO. Formé en 2012, le groupe a émergé de l’underground avec son album Absolution en 2015. L’année suivante, Hunted, sorti en 2016, a séduit les critiques et les fans du monde entier et a été nommé album de l’année par le magazine Decibel et parmi les meilleurs albums de métal de l’année par Rolling Stone. Après un calendrier de tournée chargé en Europe et en Amérique du Nord, Khemmis est revenu avec son troisième album complet, Desolation, fin 2018, encore plus acclamé et soutenu par Nuclear Blast Records en dehors des États-Unis.

Le groupe s’est ensuite lancé dans une vaste tournée et a participé à de nombreux festivals avant de se remettre à écrire de la nouvelle musique et de sortir un ensemble de raretés et d’extraits d’albums live pour rassurer les fans avec Doomed Heavy Metal, sorti en 2020. Aujourd’hui, en 2021, Khemmis sort de son sommeil pour sortir un nouvel album complet, le premier à être soutenu par Nuclear Blast dans le monde entier, et le plus sombre à ce jour, à l’automne.

Xeno & Oaklander are a minimal electronics duo (Liz Wendelbo and Sean McBride of Martial Canterel) based in Brooklyn, New York. They have been deeply involved in the analog synth community since 2004 (the release of their debut Vigils LP on Xanten), and have helped promote and inspire the revival of synth wave in the US and throughout the world through their extensive touring and prolific output.

Leur musique est mélodique et axée sur les paroles, avec des voix puissantes et des guitares punk chaotiques. Miranda and The Beat capture l’immédiateté et la crasse de la ville de New York avec leur contribution contemporaine à l’histoire de la soul et du rock-n-roll. Miranda and The Beat was formed in 2018 by vocalist and guitarist Miranda Zipse and drummer Kim (the Beat) Sollecito.
