PAN M 360 asked its partners to provide a list of the top 3 albums of 2023. Several artistic directors graciously agreed!
Last August, the Board of Directors of Productions Plateforme Inc. which oversees the organization of the Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV), announced the appointment of Scott Thomson as Artistic Director and Co-General Manager of FIMAV. He takes over from Michel Levasseur, General and Artistic Director since the first edition. At the helm of the Guelph Jazz Festival since 2017, Scott Thomson is a trombonist, composer and producer. Among other things, he founded the Somewhere There venue in Toronto. Scott Thomson arrives in Victoriaville with a great deal of motivation to perpetuate the noble mission of Productions Plateforme Inc. which, along with the presentation of the FIMAV, is to disseminate and promote the avant-garde arts. He has great respect for the members of the FIMAV team, who have opened doors to present music and artistic projects off the beaten track. He intends to pursue this mission, respecting the event’s unique formula while bringing his own colors to it. (FIMAV content adapted by PAN M 360)
