Is it a rerun of Blue’s Clues or an underground flash game on newgrounds.com? Neither! It’s a new music video single by New York post-punks TVOD.
You see, Rick Dickard (nice), is a normal working man’s dog, until he gets loaded on PBRs, steals a mail truck and drives to the kitty strip club. Buzzing, bass-led post punk eats up the sonic waves while vocalist Tyler Wright screams about daily job monotony, and havoc and hijinks ensue in this animated 2D music video, also created by Wright.
The no-budget but, I’m sure hours and hours of animation track also announces TVOD’s upcoming album, The Farm, out in October via Mothland and Get Better Records.
The Farm is partly inspired by George Orwell’s Animal Farm, which, according to TVOD (and I’d be inclined to agree), we are currently living in. So “Rerun” combines laughter with the dark reality we all experience daily—classic TVOD.
