New York’s X Ambassadors make passionate, electronic-tinged pop centered around the throaty, soulful vocals of Sam Harris. The group first gained buzz with their 2013 EP Love Songs Drug Songs, featuring the single “Unconsolable.” They gained widespread attention after hitting the Top Ten with their debut full-length, VHS, in 2015. That album hit number seven on the Billboard 200 and paved the way for 2019’s Orion. In 2021, X Ambassadors embarked on a collaborative project called (Eg), which found them working on songs with artists like Jensen McRae, Terrell Hines, and others before returning with the ambitious concept album The Beautiful Liar. Another collaboration, “Back to You,” arrived in 2022 with Lost Frequencies and Elley Duhé. In 2024, they paid tribute to their hometown of Ithaca, New York with Townie.
