Babyteeth

Babyteeth is an alternative/dreampop/shoegaze band based in Montreal. Inspired by artists like Slowdive, Mazzy Star, Hole, and Deftones – Babyteeth weave melancholic guitars, haunting synths, and vulnerable vocals into their own unique sound. The band is fronted by vocalist and notable visual artist, Pixie Blood. Known for combining the beautiful and the grotesque in her sculptures, she brings a similar ethos to her work in Babyteeth, combining soothing soundscapes with lyrical darkness. Babyteeth is a celebration of nostalgia and heartbreak. A reminder that it’s still ok to be raw and real, rather than polished to perfection.

Zéa Calla creates electronic pop, free and daring. Favoring the unpredictability of exploration, she juggles with a range of electronic instruments, notably her faithful companion, the theremin. Poet, witch, semiotician and horror fan, her uninhibited sounds harmonize with her carefully crafted lyrics, gently provocative and never completely serious.

Chaia
